What do we do with Dak going forward?

Wentz has only gotten better and Dak has regressed.

LOL! You are quoting Eagles fan sites with anonymous quotes of a few "executives" from years ago saying "well, its close" in talking about how they will develop. I'm talking about the current season and the fan glasses are from the Eagles fan claiming Dak has regressed.

not from eagles fans. Cowboys fans. Everyone here sees it. Where did you get your info that anyone would take Dak over Wentz? Nowhere, because it’s not true.

Nope. The guy with the ball in his hands every play is the most pressing issue. He is not very good on the field and he stands there with fabulous pass protection and comes up small every week.
Maybe there isn’t anybody open. I know one time yesterday he had all day and all the receivers basically ran down the field into the DBs. Nobody was even trying to get open

That tweet is comical. He was clearly hurt in this game, the Pats game was in the rain and the other two games were the two where the entire team basically quit.

Add those four into the others and he is still top five in almost every passing category.

Excuses, excuses and more excuses, a la Garrett.

I never liked him and i was not happy when we drafted him but this fool owner thinks he is the second coming.
Dak and the rest of the losers should be shown the door.

Wait until the new HC comes in. If he's smart, he'll franchise him - unless he has another QB in his sights. Give him another year to see if the HC can work with him and decide if he's the franchise QB of the future. Costs very little to get that extra evaluation year.

franchise for 1 year and the new HC will be making the decision for the future.

Yes he will....he’ll just demand a trade. If we don’t trade him or sign him long term, he’ll skip training camp and possibly early reg season games.

He would not hold out. He would have absolutely zero leverage to do so.

There is just no way you can pay this guy.

I don't care what his market value is.. I say let him go play in the market and if some team is dumb enough to pay him 35 million then let them.

Just because these other teams made stupid deals doesn't mean the Cowboys have to..

I like Dak... I think he's a good solid player.. But he just runs the offense and doesn't elevate anyone as a player.

Am I wrong or did we have 3 road games where we didn't score a Touchdown this year? Saints, Patriots, and Eagles yesterday..?
I say check out his value via a trade.

That's it, but not in a nutshell.
We already payed Zeke.
We already payed Lawrence.
So we payed for Good but not for Great twice.
Tank isn't great, he just kind of good.
Zeke is probably great, but what successful franchise pays that for RB.
So is this franchise really going to strike 3?
Its a big question, its a big payout, and a big cap hit.
Its what I have said from the on set that these 3 contracts will dictate the future of this franchise.
Just because you have the money/cap to spend, does not mean that you pay out big cap contracts to players that are just "GOOD" players..
You grab bargains with your cap over flow, and only pay top end contracts to "SPECIAL" players.
I have not and have never considered Tank a "Special" player.
Zeke is a "Special" player but the Ravens get by just fine with a RB named Mark Ingram, and his bank account is significantly less than Zekes.
Ravens got a "Special" QB in Lamar Jackson, that's who you unload the farm to.
Special players like that are who you pay and makes RBs like Ingram valuable, and WRs and TEs that would be much less valuable in other environments
less valuable.
We build, this team builds, this franchise builds completely backwards.
Jerry likes shiny toys, and the build process of this franchise directly is affected by the "process".

I wish I can like your post 100 times! You get a special QB like Jackson or Mahomes and then get complimentary pieces to fit around them like a Mark Ingram type.

That's comical. Wentz finally had a good game against the Cowboys in his fourth year,

Finally had a good game huh? You must be one of those that give all the credit/blame for team wins and losses to the QB. Here are the numbers for the QBs in the Dallas/Philly games...

Wentz vs Cowboys (7 games)
174/255 (68.2% completions)
1,713 yards
12 TDs / 2 INTs
99.4 rating

Prescott vs Eagles (8 games)
172/269 (63.9% completions)
1,877 yards
8 TDs / 7 INTs
83.5 rating

So your comment doesn't really ring true...not sure if you already knew that. Perhaps you did.

And their W/L records are.......?

And their W/L records are.......?

So at least you confirmed it. You are one of those that thinks the W/L record is a reflection of the QB alone. Good to know...at least I know not to take your opinion too seriously

Have him take the number you want him at or franchise. Need to see what a real head coach does for him.

just btw, Dak still leads in a lot of QB analytics. QBR, DVOA, Expected completion percentage, etc. He’s constantly having to throw into tight windows where other QBs can throw a dump off pass or screen that goes for 40 yards

HI Dak !
