I still remember Jerry at the press conference announcing Garrett as HC proclaiming there won't be one coach or player on the team that Garrett didn't want.

Of course that didn't mean Garrett was going to choose the coaching staff or approve of the players on the field. It just meant to have the job Garrett was going to have to "want" what Jerry wanted.

Well, the running game was trash this game. The Eagles made an injured QB and WR beat them. It worked.
We abandoned the run, and a division rival knows we run on 1st down all the time.

As much as ya'll despise the clapper, he's just another chess piece among other pieces on the board. We all like to pile on Garrett but its the Jones' putting all the coaches in place and running the **** show and playing GM. I doubt Garrett has any power at all. He's there to motivate and cheer. Thats it. Next coach will become the same chess piece that Garrett was. Jerry and Stephen are the ones playing chess.

I think you mean checkers. Chess implies intelligence.

How this isn't more frequently pointed out is beyond me.

Elliott had 5 touches in the 1st half. Anyone have an issue with that?
Not to mention that when the actually did run the ball and gained any sort of momentum/progress, they stop and pass?

If true this will be fascinating because Garrett has built his "vision" on preaching accountability.

"Fight"
"Compete"
all these flashy slogans, etc.

I mean, I know it's just a slogan on a t shirt and I get that, but the fact is this is how he has built his vision for his tenure as head coach. This is how he sold and positioned himself

if it was all a facade and the evidence is about to come pouring out, it's going to be ugly. Even uglier than any of us might suspect.....
Well JG got the “fight” part right... as his vision has imploded and the fighting is within the team as some players are speaking out.
I Agree This Is going to be a spectacular train week once this team is officially done for the season this week.
At least Jerrah is going to be happy... his team will be what everyone will be talking about for quite some time.

It all boils down to the incompetence of Jerry and his goat rodeo tour.

And our Rodeo has none of the below.....

Jason, or any Cowboys head coach, only has as much authority as Jerry allows him.

If Jerry had a problem with it (lack of accountability) he'd have fired Garrett years ago.

I think that Jerry wants Jason to succeed so badly that he has given him as many chances as possible to prove himself. Jerry wants to prove to the world that he did right by making Jason the coach.

Now it's backfiring and he's learning the hard way that no matter what, Jason is not cut out for the job.

Lol! Actually it just takes Garrett a couple of years to decide that he should do something about it. Sad thing is I'm being serious.

Well in Garrett's defense, he only took a little more than half the 2018 season to realize that they need to shore up our run defense after the Rams obliterated our defense with the run.

Well, they partly addressed it as best as they can. I think by next year they would have solved it with our awesome draft pick Hill.
