I think he would be perfect for Dallas. He also has a history with the Cowboys and a good defensive coach.

The only reservations I'd have w/ that hire is....Would Ken be just another puppet...so Jerry can continue to be a distraction off the field?

Would the spotlight be too big for him? How well would he handle the media?

Don't be shocked if he's kept around.....you don't throw the baby out w/ the dirty water. My guess is....Ken Norton Jr. (Seattle defensive coordinator) He runs the defense...Kellen runs the offense. :D

Garrett was made offensive coordinar specifically because the goal was to make him head coach.

If that is Jerry’s plan with Moore, we’ll know because he will hire Chris Petersen, keep him for a few years, then promote Moore.

It’s not popular but I think Josh McDaniels might have the inside track.

That’s because Jerry said college coaches typically don’t win for awhile. So I think Jerry looks to the pros for a new coach and JM has been offered other jobs and turned them down.

Just a hunch

I’m just going off of actual production. And keeping it in context with other recent Cowboys coaches. It’s not like I met him at breakfast once and he was mean to me or anything.

Well let’s look at actual production of Garrett compared to his predecessor Wade.

Wade...2 div titles.....1 wildcard win.....3.5 years

Garrett....3 div titles....2 wildcard wins....9.5 years

So Garrett has only 1 div title and 1 wildcard win more than Wade, but has been here almost three times as long. So no, Garrett has not had significantly more success than his predecessor despite having 3 times as long to do it. That is not acceptable and is the reason why Garrett will not be the coach in 2020.

Who’s the actual candidates? Not just the ones we want, but ones going to be open to coaching here? Are Riley,Greg Roman,Josh Daniels etc putting any feelers out? McCarthy is,but he just wants a job with any team to get back in it. Meyer I think would, but thinking they can’t work together more now. Meyer would want more of the Jimmy type control of his team. Not sure FO can handle that. He’s used to dealing with big players on big teams at Ohio St. Think that’s a big plus when Dallas is the team. Feel like Jerry would do the puppet routine more with the others too. That sucks...I like Roman and McDaniels. Think both could do some real good things for us. Coach Dak better than Garrett for sure. Josh harder on QBs...not going to “He had some throws that were off but did a real good job for us in some situations tonight..” in a 30-17 loss at Home.

We needed defensive minded head coach! Turn this defense around, need to start creating turnovers!

I wouldn't mind seeing Ron Rivera named our new Defensive Coordinator. If not him, try to bring back Dave Wannstedt as DC, along with Butch Davis and Dave Camp as position coaches.

McCarthy is a crap head coach. Hopefully not him. No to Rivera too. Years of underwhelming results has my expectations so low that I would prefer someone with no head coaching experience at any level. That way any type of success would be a pleasant surprise.

Hoping Jerry doesn't screw this up is like hoping to win the lottery. It is a nice thought but not realistic. But hopefully this is the time the blind squirrel finds the nut. Tis the season for miracles after all.
