Twitter: Jason Witten Wants to Coach

It would be hard for him to be as bad as Garrett. If he has any situational awareness at all for a game and/or game clock he would be light years ahead of Garrett. A decade in and Garrett is still clueless in this regard. That being said I wish Witten all the luck in the world on being a coach but he needs to start as a TE coach and work his way up.

I don’t know...I’ve never heard him get into his thoughts on players and situations and the position and what he would change enough. I’m sure he would benefit players regardless.

Maybe the guy will be a great coach, but please let him legitimately work his way up the ladder.

No more 'management trainee' stuff like with Garrett.

Ben Rogers and Nick Eatman both mentioned him being the head coach here next season.
