And then sit on their collective butts waiting until they to lose enough games to have a premium draft pick, and hope there is a real stud QB at the Cowboy's selection.
In the mean time they sit and waste the careers of several really fine players because QuarterbacksRUs has top flight QB's on back order and it looks like years before the Cowboy's number will be called.
One last point, you do understand the agent takes all offers to the player, but also advises from the agent's self interest to get a bigger payday and to entice other players to sign with him? Right?
The culture in Dallas has nothing to do with Dak's salary.
They’re not going to let their franchise QB walk. He’s going to be here a long time so just get use to it. I swear we have the dumbest fan base in the country.Wouldn't that be something, if the front office opt to let Dak leave Dallas.
Would for sure send a message to the team that no player is safe and that playing for the greatest franchise in sports (value wise) is a privilege.
The front office tried working with him, but he has declined all the offers.
Let him leave then.
Maybe that would spark a culture change within the organization.
And then what? Rely on a washed up re-tread qb? Rely on a draft pick? I'm not saying Dak is the best qb in the league, but you never let a good qb walk if there isn't a better replacement. Unless that is....you are wishing for another decade of Chad Hutchinson, Quincy Carter, Drew Hensen qb play. Dal is better than 2/3 of the qb's currently in the league. Why in the world would you let him walk? Let's see what a new coach can do with him first.
You really want to just “let him walk” and get zero compensation for him?
I’m ok if they decide to move on from Dak, provides they draft a top tier first round QB prospect.
But let Dak walk and not at least get some picks for it? That sounds like a horrible idea.

pretty dumb take, but thanks for playingWouldn't that be something, if the front office opt to let Dak leave Dallas.

I would agree with this.
Honest question and not trying to troll you--what do you think we could realistically get for him?
Do you think there's a team out there that would give a mid to high 1st round pick for him?
Yes. I do. There’s always a team or two that gets desperate at the position.
Sam Bradford recently fetched a first round pick.
Carson Palmer was traded for first round pick.
Jay cutler was traded 2 firsts.
Matt Cassel was traded for a second round pick
Kevin Kolb was traded for a second round pick and a starting cornerback.
Dak could probably land a first rounder. At very least a second rounder.
you don’t let guys with that much trade value just walk.
I think that ship has sailed. You can't pay Dak top tier money and then hope to trade him.
Any trade option is gone IMO.
If I could get Tannehill for 15-20 mill versus Dak for 30-35, I would do it.
