What an asinine post? As a rookie, Prescott started all 16 games with 3,667 passing yards, 282 rushing yards, 29 total touchdowns, and only four interceptions, and his 67.8% completion percentage ranked No. 4 among NFL quarterbacks in 2016.

With the Cowboys finishing the season with a 13–3 record, the team clinched the NFC East title. Let's see IF your rookie Lamar has this skill set to even come close to Prescott' rookie season numbers.

Oh, and toss in offensive rookie of the year.

"Nowhere the skill set of Lamar", PLEEZ..:lmao:

Lamar' won't continue playing at this level next season either. Like Mahomes the season prior, someone else always comes around as Lamar did to oversee Mahomes.

Lamars first full year starting has 3127 pass yards, 6 INT to 36 passing TDS, 66.10% completion percentage coupled with 1,206 yards rushing 7 TDS (42 total TDS). NFL MVP, All-Pro, top Pro Bowl vote getter and a 14-2 record.

I like Dak but he doesn’t have Lamar’s skill set.

The only coordinator I would of been all over was Kyle Shanahan. He made Matt Ryan look like an mvp. But this guy no way. He’s just part of the system in Baltimore, he wasn’t the main reason for their success like Kyle was... you gotta go with Urban Meyer all the way.

Sounds like a great “yawn” hire by JJ.
May be why there’s no rush here.
A) Playoffs coach
B) No one else clambering for his services

is he bringing Lamar or Kapernick?. His success has been centered around those two. Dak isn't neither of the two. also Tyrod Taylor. sidenote his son Connor plays with my son on our football team.

I don't know/ I've got a feeling that Jerry is going to swing for the fences and make the biggest push of his life at Belicheck. Brady's contract is expiring and who knows what he's going to do. I think Jerry is waiting for the Patriots to finish their post season and he's going all in on Bill.

I have no empirical proof, of course, but the fact that Jerry said he's not worried about who else anyone hires and that they can hire all the big names out there and it doesn't matter, tells me that he's willing to put every bit of capital it takes (including draft capital) to get Belicheck in Dallas and, for the second time ever (the first being Parcells), take a step back and let a coach do his job.

I could be way, way off here but it's a feeling I can't shake, right now.
Please be right, lol

People crack me up. Every year a new "superstar" running QB is the rage and he is going to change the league, then the defensive coordinators figure out the scheme and suddenly the new "superstar" is riding the pines wondering why he can't get no playing time.

It's gonna happen again.

This team needs an old school, no nonsense, no bs HC who can pick his own coordinators and position coaches.

All the riff raff on the sidelines needs to be gone. The friends and buddies of players who don't have any real reason to be on the sideline.

The Owner and President needs to STOP thinking he is a football guy and just be a business guy.

Oh and yes, we need a real QB too.

I say make Randy white head coach, with Larry Allen and Erik Williams as his overseers. Could you imagine the effort the guys would put forth, so they wouldn't get their bones broken like pixels sticks? Lol

His name has come up at a HC candidate nearly every year since 2011 yet it hasn't happened.

Why?

I worry that he is a Marty Mornhinweg type -- ie a fantastic OC but potentially poor HC. Just speculating here.

Lots of talk that he would bring Joe Brady with him wherever he gets hired at also.

For those that don’t know, joe Brady is the offensive guru that has LSU in the national championship game and setting offensive records all season long

No he doesn't, but did you see the list of QBS Roman has had success with?

Why Roman please explain ?
He turned Alex Smiths career around from being a possible bust and he had his best year under Roman. Mid season the next year he was headed for even a better season and got hurt. Mid season Roman changed the offense to adapt to Kap and they was even better and went to the super bowl. Took a Tyrod Taylor lead offense in Buffalo and lead them to top 10 in scoring. Now in Balt has adapted a offense to fit the personnel and has the best offense in football. Every where hes gone as a OC he has adapted to the personnel and had success. Plus hes a analytic guy and me being a analytic nerd makes me want him as the HC even more. LOL

He's had success with the likes of Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick, Tyrod freakin' Taylor, ect.
He knows offense.
Can he command an entire locker room? None of us know.
Wouldn't be a bad gamble at all, though.

The gamble is not gambling at all and sticking with the status quo.

Not sure any QB has his skill set
He’s so explosive as a runner and faster than DB’s
He’s grown as a passer and will only get better as a passer
Till the same thing happens to him as RGIII and Vick
The key to him as a QB is staying healthy
There have been others that tried like those mentioned but few have succeeded
