I'm gonna call BS on that since I used to say the same thing. There's only so much anyone can endure before they say enough is enough. I've been waiting for a return to prominence since 1996, and I held firm in my loyalty until the night Jerry drunkenly admitted to the world why he hired Bill Parcells. It had nothing to do with winning and everything to do with fulfilling his own personal, selfish ambitions. It was all downhill from there, and the last of the 3 straight 8-8 seasons from Garrett is what did it for me. My loyalty and passion for the team hasn't been the same since.

I have zero faith that Jerry is going to make the right decision on the current situation, and why should I or anyone else think differently? He's proven to fans everywhere that he is going to do what he thinks is best for him first. Team and fans will always be secondary and very low on his list of priorities.

You can call BS on that when talking for yourself, but not for me. I've been a Cowboys fan since their first day in existence and have gone through all the highs and lows they have. AGAIN, I am and always be a Cowboys fan regardless of whether or dislike the owner, coaches or any player. mn You can quit on being a Cowboys fan if you wish but don't speak for me.

Disagree. I've been a fan since 1967 when I was 12 and have followed them even when I was overseas serving our country in absolute hell holes and still found a way to follow the team and root for them. However, I think the lack of good coaching has killed this team for years and we are allowed to complain. That's our right and without us, there would be no Dallas Cowboys. We pay the owners and the owners pay the players. I think we have plenty of talent but our coaching has been sub standard for years. Give our rooster to one of the top flight coaches out there and we would have won more games and yes more titles. That falls squarely on Jerry Jones and no one else, because he picks the coaches. I hope he looks and the mirror and decides getting rid of Garrett is not only the right thing but the only thing that has of chance of making what this team should be. Why would any player not want to come to Texas. Good weather, no state income tax and if you are a Dallas Cowboy you are treated like a king. Jerry has screwed this up and he needs to fix it and keeping Garret on the payroll in any shape of form isn't the right or smart thing to do..

You sound just like the disgruntled fiar weather fan you are. First off, despite what some people here think, the lions share of the money teams make is off the money the league makes off the TV deals and that's the money that pays the players. Contrary to you and others beliefs here the loyal fans keep buying tickets. Teams don't rely on money generated by fair weather fans because they are just that and can't be counted on. Tell me all the players that refused to come to the Cowboys. The problem the Cowboys have had in getting free agents to either resign here or be signed here has been salary cap issues that the Cowboys have had since it started until just this past off season. And for the record I've been a Cowboys fan since the very first day they've been in existence and I will continue to be a LOYAL fan regardless of whether or not I dislike the owner, coach or any player.

With a 3rd meeting now scheduled, I wonder if Jerry is letting Garrett make a pitch to keep his job and is essentially interviewing him.

Seriously?

The guy that has been here 10 years is going to go home and make a PowerPoint presentation to present to Jerry and Steven next week on why he is the best man for the job?

And what exactly is this major plan of his? Next question, why has he not already implemented it in the last 10 years?

How about for the new year posters stop calling out other posters for being "fake fans", "fair weather fans", or any other chit like that.

I am trying to read through this thread for info on Garrett and instead I have to wade through post after post of how this person is a fake fan and that person is "disloyal" and then a diatribe of how this poster or that poster is the best fan that ever existed, ect…

Seriously, we dont need to hear your dribble of how much better of a fan you are over somebody else, nobody cares so just shut the hell up!

This 1,000,000 times.

I would’ve just liked it but don’t seem to have an option to do that.:huh:

garrett respects MONEY...he could give two ***** about the fans or results, and especially Jerry. He is playing Jerry like a fiddle.

its kin to the "2 Bobs" in Office space. A meeting to discuss a future or previous meeting and to dish on other employees. lol...you can't make this stuff up. Only in Dallas. Just picture Jerry and stevie sitting across a table from Garrett...like the 2 Bobs.
