" Many believe Rodgers, the QB with the best career passer rating (103.1) in NFL history, was 100 percent justified
in overruling his coach's play calls, and that the Packers would've deteriorated more precipitously if he hadn't put that cape on.

The personnel man says the Packers' passing offense was essentially "Get open" and that they basically ran the same routes
for seven years straight, to the point where division rivals "constantly" called out plays pre-snap and jumped routes.

Yikes, That's sound like Scott Linehan all over again ... that's the concerns of retread of ole school head coaches- this could make for the push of
Kellen moore remaining on the coaching staff.

You can have anonymous sources and those sources be credible, right?

Well, I guess it depends on their credibility. Oh wait, if you are anonymous how can you be credible? You aren't willing to expose yourself to contadiction. It's weak and lazy reporting. It's a fan mag that it came from.

Imagine having to rely on BR to support your argument.
Imagine ignoring damning evidence with quotes from sources close to the subjects because you have a vendetta against the website.

Packers won 13 games this year. McCarthy won 11 games total in his final 2 years. I didn’t need Bleacher Report for that.

Geezuz this is a LONG article. I'm skeptical if anyone has really read the entire thing.

Its so long, I'm gonna take a nap and resume later but from what I've read so far, if its a work of fiction to be hand waived as some have proclaimed, then its a hellova job making things up.

Yeah, is there a cliff notes version, LOL.

Look, I am on record saying "Anybody But Garrett"...…………...so whatever, if McCarthy sucks at least we dont have to wait 10 yrs to fire him.

Give him a 3 year deal and tell him NFC Title game is the bar for a new contract, you got three seasons to do it so get to work.

There offense scored as much this as they did last year. There defense gave up a td less this year than last year. They spent more money in fa than they ever had. It helps to win games when the defense is giving up a td less.

I just read on Yahoo that McCarthy's interview went so well that they've held I'm over to today. It didn't say if he was still there though.

Yep, the initial interview was on Saturday and it went so well they wanted him to stay over night and have a second interview on Sunday. They apparently went out to eat last night, some poster on here was saying that his friend works at the restaurant they went to and he got a text they were all there.

So he got dinner and two interviews...………..sounds like they really like what they heard.

Aaron Jones averaged 5.5 Yds/carry in 2017 and then again in 2018. Why didn’t his idiot head coach let him carry the load?

Every Packers fan I know was SCREAMING for Jones to get more touches.

Jones averaged 18 touches/game this year, compared to just 13 touches/game last year. He scored 19 TD this year, compared to just 13 TD in his first 2 years COMBINED.

Aaron Rodgers was an average QB this season. Father Time is catching up. And yet the Packers STILL went 13-3 with a rookie coach because he quickly figured out that Aaron Jones should carry the offense.

McCarthy is a total buffoon. I know it’s a long read, but read the article.

I read, and I read, read some more, and kept on reading. I must have spent a half hour reading and the article doesn't end. I am convinced it's a trick to make me late for work at 2 this afternoon. That article doesn't end, does it? By now I'm deep into them talking about Rodgers so I'm long past McCarthy. But yeah, I get your point in regards to him.

Who cares about Rodgers? Is Rodgers interviewing to be the Cowboys Head Coach?

Re-read your 2nd paragraph a few times. The one about the fat idiot your favorite football team might hire.

Who cares about Rogers? Well of all people YOU DO.

He's your source on crappy of a coach McCarthy is and no one else. We all know that McCarthy didn't innovate and did things that didn't help the team. But you failed to realize Rogers has had a personal vendetta against McCarthy - because McCarthy perferred Smith over him and never forgot that McCarthy selected him (Smith) over Rogers.

Rogers is the biggest prick in the NFL. Some of the previous players hated him. So whatever Rogers said about McCarthy "lacking football knowledge" must be taken with a grain of salt. Because it's a personal attack and nothing more.

I don't know if I'd go that far with McCarthy, but you certainly have a point with Fisher and Lewis. My one and only hope is that they were brought in for consideration for defensive staff should we decide to go with a college coach.

Wishful thinking though.

McCarthy certainly has a ton of warts, but even with that I feel he'd still be a huge upgrade over Garrett and showed he had our number in the two playoff games we faced him. Those two wins alone match Garrett's win total for the entire time he's coached here.

That article does less to turn me off McCarthy and more to reaffirm how much of an *** Aaron Rodgers is.

I read it when it came out and Im not big on unnamed sources. The Jones argument is a solid one, but dont bring in what packer fans was saying as some kind of proof. Lol you been in this forum long enough to know just because fans are screaming something doesnt make it true.

McCarthy was not on my list when all this started a month ago, but after the King interview and TP interview on NFL Network, he made my list. Lol I like how he went back and looked at what he did and shouldve done and admitted to the offense becoming stale. I like he has worked on what he will do different in every aspect of coaching. DId you watch that video like you are telling everyone to read? And I have no issue admitting that him diving head first into analytics and his detail plan of using analytics sold me completely on him, Im an analytic nerd. IMO he was a better coach than JG at any point in JG career, and with him having a year off to learn from his mistakes and knowing his mistakes and his willingness to use analytics, he will be a good fit. Plus, I think him being a WCO guy is good for Dak, because Ive said since Dak took over, that a WCO would fit Dak better than any other offense.

Out of curiosity, who is your guy?

Mike McCarthy is a good coach
if you can't see that...then i can't help you.
Garrett is gone.
everything is gonna be ok.

Nobody is asking for your "help". If you want to practice willful ignorance and blind yourself to the evidence presented, that's your issue. But nobody needs nor wants your "help" in doing the same.

Be careful what you ask for. JG is gone. Who is the better coach we are going to hire? Marvin? McCarthy? It's gonna be a long off season

Our priorities are different than Jerry’s. Jerry wants a coach who (to use a Madden rating) will be an 85-90 right out of the gate but that’s all they’ll be.

I think the fan base is hoping for a coach that may be a 75-80 year one but has shown clear altitude to be a 95-99 over time (Riley, Meyer, Roman) etc.

If it’s McCarthy, I’ll watch next year but won’t be overly excited depending on who the DC is. He seems like a moderate upgrade over Garrett. West coast guys have never been known for running it 25-30 times a game. And he seems about as charismatic as a paint can.

If you had actually read the article (which you clearly didn’t), you’d know that Rodgers is far from the only source who was ripping McCarthy.

Hilarious that you had the nerve to speak on an article you didn’t even read.
