It sends a bad message IMO. I would be much more excited if McCarthy would have brought the staff he had wanted all year. Jerry’s insistence on keeping asst coaches maintains too much of a link to the failures of previous teams. It is also unfair to McCarthy to be limited to somebody else’s choice of asst coaches that will directly effect how good of a job he can do.Granted... we ALL know Jerry keeps his staff for some reason. I'm good with keeping Moore... and maybe McCarthy can sneak in some more of his preferences...
Boy way to deflate the resident worm.McCarthy's passion is as an offensive play caller. I can't see him choosing to let anyone, let alone an inexperienced guy like Moore, call the plays for him.
I am not 100% certain this is the case.WC offense is perfect for Dak as well.
Maybe he used all that extra time to do some research and thinking on Moore before deciding he can deal with Moore just fine. Heck, maybe he even had some conversation time with Moore? We don't know. Maybe he see's Moore as a fantastic OC just needing direction from a great HC in order to rise to the occasion? But for the most part I agree, if Mike had staff already chosen it meant he already trusted them and they trust him. Jerry sems to get emotionally attached to some of his guys, instead of treating them like employees. But I don't see Moore as a liability, I see him as someone Mike can mold into a good OC no problem. He is young and wants to prove himself and is one of the most successful QB's in all of College history. The kid didn't learn how to lose until he came to Dallas. This is my problem with the hire. It was known that McCarthy had a staff he was wanting to bring with him, but from all reports, he accepted the job with Jerry’s stipulations which included keeping Moore and other asst coaches. I don’t have a problem with McCarthy, but I have a problem with Jerry picking the staff. This leads me to think that McCarthy is a puppet and the changes will be minimal around Dallas.
McCarthy's already won a Super Bowl in Dallas.

Red herrings all over the trail! These fools didnt even interview Meyer
My question is how do we squeeze him out of the Salvation Army red kettle after he dives in after the teams first TD of the season?Damn right, bro.
The only issue I have is how in the hell do we hoist him up and carry him off the field after we win a Super Bowl?
LOL that guy didn't restored s hit. He was supposed to elevate this franchise and instead he brought mediocrity.the man who salvaged and restored the mustang did far more than the one who added some jet fuel so it goes a little faster
both can be true at the same timeAll the people that are saying "meh" and "not my first choice" are the same ones that were saying "anyone but Garrett!"
Good for him. He won no playoff games or division titles. If that's the best coaching then I don't want it. he accomplished nothing while he was here.Parcells won 10 games with Quincy Carter as QB and Troy Hambrick as RB. That's pretty nobody to me.
That was probably some of the best coaching Parcells did during his tenure in Dallas.
Jerry took the pizza take out box from Jason and sent it to Belichick.Belichick has to be pissed.
Probably Jerry and Son logic...McCarthy's already won a Super Bowl in Dallas.
