I didn't want him to stay. I have discussed that at length. Nice to see that binary is the breadth of your insight.
I don't care what you want. I'm laughing at your ASSUMPTION that hed be the top sought after head coach if fired. Backpedal all you want

A) I never said he would be the top sought after coach.
B) A national report is not an assumption. An assumption is claiming no one would want him with zero evidence to back it up.

Now you have Walker and Rappoport linking Garrett to the Giants.

How does it feel to be wrong.

And what does linking mean exactly you goof? Did NY say they were interested? Or are we still trying to play with words.

Forgive me, I haven't read all the posts in this thread so there is a good chance someone has already addressed this:

What is going through Garrett's mind that he would "campaign" for his job? Personally, if my former employer advised me that I was no longer required (or, was fired, or any other words you may use), the last thing I would do is negotiate to retain my job. Now, I may negotiate quite vigorously for a severance package, but not for my job.

Maybe it is just me, but I don't won't to work where I am not wanted.

It seems somewhat demeaning to me to "campaign" for one's job after being let go.

What am I missing?

You are right my friend, its very self degrading to be begging like a dog for your job...….thankfully Jerry didnt fall for it and cut the cord.

Jason needs to get some self respect. One of the first jobs I had out of college at UT was with a large Tech company and after working there for 3 years, they decided to downsize and fire 100 employees at their Austin location. To make if fair, at least to them, they decided they would go in reverse order of hire date. In other words, the last 100 employees to be hired would be laid off. I happen to be number 97 on the list, meaning only 96 people were hired after me in the three years I worked there so I was out.

Did I cry like a baby? Did I go into my boss's office and get on my knees begging for my job? Did I keep reporting to work for the next week like nothing had happened? Hell no, I acted like I actually have a pair of balls and I said "I understand, business is business and you got to downsize to keep profits up and investors happy". I then gathered up my stuff and walked out the door, end of story.

That is what Garrett should have done if he had any self respect.

I gave up on him earlier in the year when the team was giving up on him. I changed my mind and there is zero virtue in being inflexible.

So there is a national report that indicates that he would be sought after. So nice of you to admit it. And I never "co-signed" anything. I was just refuting your nonsense with citation.

Then you have Rappaport reporting “My understanding is the Giants have emerged as a real and legitimate potential landing spot for Garrett,”

https://www.si.com/nfl/cowboys/news...tt-is-flirting-with-giants-this-wont-end-well

So you were wrong that he would have no interest from the league. Have fun trying to deflect again.

So do you see yourself as the doorman for the "replace Garrett" club or something because I don't see what point you are trying to make here.

Just someone with little tolerance for obvious revisionist history and lecturing from those so late to the party.

what is the revision? I was fine with him up until this year when he started losing the team.

I changed my mind, Stash. You should try it from time to time. Sorry if you are still chapped about past arguments.
