Hardnosed aggressive defense. And his work in NO with the LB's there has been fantastic. I am excited to see what he does with LVE and Jaylon.

Just what we needed. Hopefully we can bring in a good DT as well. Also, I hope he can teach those damn CB’s and safeties to turn their heads! This is shaping up to be good. I’m excited for the change.

I don’t think @MikeB80 does either, post was laced with sarcasm. But I don’t know @MikeB80

i was joking around but I have no idea if he can be good or not.

in general if a coach needs to have you live with him because you are so lazy you can not do your job and then even after this you are fined for being late and inactive all year it's probably a real uphill battle......especially if you are now going to be treated differently around a bunch of old school guys, which Mike Nolan most certainly is.

Cool photos of Mike's dad. Mike is going to come in knowing what this organization used to stand for.

Hey, bros....

McCarthy/Nolan or Rivera/Del Rio?
I don't know anything about Nolan.
I know Rivera and McCarthy have both been successful head coaches, so in the long run both teams are in much better shape
coaching-wise than they have been in a long time.

it doesnt knock my socks off but if its who MM thinks gives him his best shot , I have to let the results play out..the way this is coming together so fast im thinking by Thursday the entire staff will be in place..

I heard them talking about Kellen Moore on ESPN and Jerry isnt forcing him on MM but MM himself is contemplating on keeping him... if its his choice I can live with that..
Thats a very very big if.

Don't care what anyone says, I'm sure Jerry made it perfectly clear that he wanted Moore around.

Jerry has lined McCarthy's contract up with Payton's so they both expire at the same time. Hilarious.

Jerry playing chess.

Actually... I guess NO was pretty good at stopping the running game. So maybe we won't have running backs destroying us this next season.

I think as the head coach of the niners he wanted to wear a suit and they made him wear some sort of league sanctioned Nike outfit. Kind of reminded me of Tom Landry on the sidelines who always looked professional.

It was a league sanctioned Reebok outfit! He won that right and Reebok started producing suits which were allowed to be worn two home games. Eventually they relaxed that rule as well.

But he's been defensive coordinator for Washington, Giants, Atlanta, Miami, The Jets, Denver, the Ravens, and San Francisco (before becoming head coach).

He's coached with Dan Reeves in Denver and went to the Giants with him. He's seen maybe not all, but enough to fill a couple of books on Defense.
