Hate this one. He almost single-handedly destroyed the 49ers 2015 season and they paid him $14 million to not come back again. If you want camp cup cake look no further. Anyone who thinks this guy is an upgrade over Marinelli has not been paying attention. This is the same guy who allowed players to Tweet during games and gave social media breaks during practice.

That's why we're hiring him as a position coach, not a head coach. He's not going to be setting up the whole practice and assigning social media breaks, he's only being asked to run the DLine practices and meetings. McCarthy is the guy setting the tone.

ive heard of Tim and hes got a decent rep as a DL coach..anything that makes MM/Nolan comfortable and has staff he can trust is positive thing..

I'm glad none of the old staff was forced on him, big surprise KR wasn't shoved down Nolans throat...

I can't say I like any of the Defensive hires thus far.
