Henry vs Zeke

Its more about competitive passion - Zeke doesn't have it. Did Emmitt Smith or Barry Sanders need as many breaks as Zeke? Walter Payton? Did either of them need to be saved for the playoffs? Zeke is 24 years old but has the stamina of someone 40 or over.

I don’t know what Emmitt or Barry had 20 years ago but in 2019-20 they just spent a 3rd or 4th on Pollard. That’s what he’s here for. Honestly if you ask me Pollard needs more touches. Zeke is the only guy for the past 4 years who’s consistently in the top 5 in rushing. No one else can say that so what he’s doing is working better than anyone else. Don’t let one year by Cook or Henry overshadow that.

A good running game covers up some QB deficiencies. That's why Tanehill is looking better. McCarthy just needs to build up on the defensive side of the ball and feed Zeke every game. Zeke can be the workhorse we want him to be and he can produce the way we want him to produce. The coaches just need to rely on him more. Anything less than 1600 yards a year is unacceptable.

Poor Zeke didn't get enough carries. He needs 400 carries a year in order to lead the NFL in rushing. Operating in the #1 offense in the NFL, Zeke has no excuses.

Zeke doesn't make the muscles in his hand when stiff-arm players. That's something the coaches could get him to work on if they knew anything.

The running game isn't going to produce the way we would like it to every game. But when it is producing the coaches need to learn how to stick with it. Play calling should be indicative of game flow. There are some high school coaches that know that. And that's why I say anything less then 1600 yards is unacceptable, because if he doesn't hit that mark its on the coaches.

No we reached because we had Romo and Zeke happened to be one of the best blocking backs in the draft as well as runner.

Henry was my guy and I wanted him bad. Having said that he has been hurt a lot. Zeke has never been hurt. I’m sooo ready for the new offense finally!!!!
