Hey it might be a perfect fit. I have to think he's about as slow as Witten at this point

It may have already been posted a time or two in the previous 9 pages, but are we certain he is interested in playing tight end? I find the hard to believe

it seems much more likely when he referred to “Role” he meant some combination of possession receiver helping move the chains, combined with veteran leadership and teaching moments for younger players.

agsin, he said “role” not “position”

I don't understand some of the negative comments about Dez. That dude was a beast for us for years and a real difference maker for this franchise.

The guy has always been passionate about the game and being great and if he wants to be a TE at this stage of his career I say we kick the tires.

We discard these guys like trash and sometimes I don't get it.

I am sure its just me

The last time Dez was playing he was our #1, alpha receiver. He had been the alpha his entire life

Some players can make the adjustment from the #1 to the #4. It certainly helps if they simply age into a lesser role and it’s a gradual decline

Do you think Dez has come to grips with that?

the last thing I want to see is our #4 making a fuss over not getting enough targets

I want as close to a drama free season as we can get and I’m not confident that Dez would suddenly become this elder statesman teaching WR like he is making himself out to be in these comments.
Yeah I agree with you. I don't think he would give up his ego and alpha status. The more I thought about it the more I agree with another poster who said that Dez should try the XFL. If he humbled himself and did that and showed he had a little in the tank then I'd be more up for it. But he would have to be humbled or be humble to make it work with the Cowboys again and I don't think that would happen. Kind of sucks cuz i really liked Dez and i still have his Jersey and wear it proudly. I just wanted him, Romo, and Witten to win a ring with us so bad sometimes it clouds my judgement.

Is he allowed near shopping malls yet? He could be a mall cop.

Tell him it's over! And please stop calling, it's embarrassing. We had a good time together but now it's time to move on.

The Cowboys have grown and Dez? Well, he's still the same Dez, keeps saying he will change, but we know it's just a matter of time before something happens and then gets escalated into a distraction.

I mean, hey, we love you Dez, but we just can't live with you. We don't want to hurt you so have to try and get over it.

,Man up Dez, put away the blues collection, dry those tears, shave, take a shower, put on clean clothes, put all those empty beer cans in the trash and move on with your life.

Whatever else you can say about Dez, either for or against him, I think everyone has to agree he really loved being a Cowboy. His continued passion for the team is laudable. This guy is a Cowboy at heart.
