this is why i dont like stats. Mahomes, in the play offs, dak sitting home. I know, its not fair, its not the total package, it is a team sport, but if you want to go by stats, yes Dak did better, however for the teams success, stats dont matter.

So how do we measure a player?

Dak did have great winning stats. His first three years only Brady was better. Some said that wasn’t, at all, because of his play. And ironically often compared his stats to Mahomes as a reason why.

I wonder if Andy Reed is a better coach? Or if they have better special teams? Etc.


We’ll find out next year. But as of now I’m not sure how to evaluate a player. I think stats is a way to quantify their play. A popular trope is “stats are meaningless and can say anything”. I don’t know what else there is to go by.

any person who is quarterbacking a team that goes on a 3-4 game losing streak should not be complimented

and I like dak, but he has his share on the blame pie for what happened in 19
