Don't know if we're thinking home grown talent started and developed by the Cowboys, but if so I would go:
1. Irvin 2. Hayes 3. Pearson 4. Bryant 5. Hill
Tough call between Irvin and Hayes, but that's how I would rank them. Irvin and Hayes would be the only homegrown guys I would pick in the top 5 knowing what we know now as transcending talents. Pearson, Bryant, and Hill great players too and guys anyone would be happy with out of the 1st round
From WRs in Cowboys history that came here as free agents sign or trade.
The only two clear choices would be Owens and Cooper.
Galloway, Rocket, Glenn, and Key Johnson could be in consideration for talent or length of career of production. But taking an objective look:
Galloway no, never a pro bowler, all pro, and despite a long career never lived up to his hype. No on Rocket, too late of a bloomer to justify the pick.
Terry Glenn was a nice receiver, but often injured and made one pro bowl. Keyshawn Johnson is probably the closest to a 1st rounder of this group.
For bonus coverage no on Miles Austin. We all forget about Jimmy Smith even though he never had a catch for the Cowboys he would be a clear 1st rounder. Just gave up on him too soon.
