But then, when asked if he plans to spend much time in Dallas in the coming months, Prescott said no.

“Report that,” Prescott said. “Be sure to report that.”

Only in Dallas do you see this type of arrogance from players that haven't accomplished doo doo.

Rich Gannon said on the radio a few weeks ago that Dak "will have to live at the facility" this off-season to get this offense down bc of it's complexity. If he decides to stay away from Dallas bc of this contract situation then there are going to be growing pains next season with this offense. Imagine what it's going to be like around here if Dak is struggling with the new offense immediately following signing a new big deal.

Heck the SB is tomorrow, then we have 3 weeks until the combine starts. Which is also about when they can start to tag FA's, until March 10th.
And almost 7 weeks from now until FA start around March 18th.

So a lot of stuff will fly between now and then, and there will be many of the same type of threads and posts.
I will just not concern myself over it until that time actually arrives. And even then I don't care, what happens, happens.

I am sure some QB will emerge from the combine that fans will want to draft if not in the 1st round, but the 2nd or 3rd as well. All before the tag is applied or he is signed.

thats huge mistake at those numbers...its been over discussed beating a dead horse..maybe ill eat my words with side of crow but Dak will never get close to living up to 35 per and a lot of guaranteed money and will send us into cap hell because of it..

I like Dak and think he can be a very good Qb on this league. I think he should be paid more than Wentz and little less than Goff. Goff has made it to the SB. Dak has even said it himself that he should not be paid like that because he has not made it to the big game that. I don’t want to hear about coaching, players around him, etc. You play with the hand that you are dealt. If he wants to be the highest paid player than he needs to elevate everyone else’s play and overcome those obstacles. He did not get it done so far in the important games (lost 4 out of the last 7 games at the end of the season ). If Dak wants to play hardball than so be it. The Jones should than too. There are a lot of qbs our on the market this year and in the draft who has similar if not better skill set than Dak. With that being said I want Dak to stay in Dallas but at fair salary for both sides that won’t cripple the franchise in future years.

It's not so much as living up to the numbers as it is being a starting NFL QB getting a 2nd contract. Just wait until your Mayfield, Jackson, Watson and a few others are up over the next 2-3 years.

Then Mahomes gets his 50 million a year lol

Sorry but Dak is following the path of players like D-Law, Jaylen, and Zeke where they get new contracts after feeling entitled and then sucking the next year.

I say apply the non-exclusive franchise tag to Dak and allow him to negotiate with other teams. That way Dallas isn't setting the market and if another team signs him to a stupid contract then Dallas receives (2) 1st round draft picks (can you say Miami or Oakland perhaps).

I personally would love Dallas to draft Utah State QB Jordan Love. He is 6' 4" 225 pounds with a very strong arm.
