So there's some threads and posts floating around that are flat out ludacris. A guy just posted that Jaylon is an embarrassment to the organization so I feel compelled to offer you this:

Player A: 144 tackles (81 solo), 0 sacks. 2 ints

Player B: 142 tackles (83 solo), 2.5 sacks, 1 ints

Player A is Luke Kuechly
Player B is Jaylon Smith

Jaylon had the 6th most tackles in the entire NFL (3 solo tackles behind league leader Bobby Wagner; largely regarded as the best LB in the NFL). Jaylon also had .5 less sacks and the same number of INTs as Wagner.

To say Jaylon is an embarrassment to this organization is an embarrassing thing to say - the guy isn't even in his prime yet and had to deal with idiots like Robert Quinn not being able to stop the run or screens to save his damn life (the guy had 26 solo tackles in 2019). Quinn was sack hunting the whole season so he could get a big contract & it compromised this whole defense (especially the LBs - in my opinion). I get some of you are in love with Quinn because sacks (the most overrated thing in all of football) make people fall in love with players. If I'm the Cowboys I couldn't get rid of Quinn fast enough & this Jaylon Smith slander needs to stop - it's ridiculous.

its true and fans here who held him under a microscope to point out a handful of bad lays or over zealous celebrations have more to do with his new deal and his personality,,go check my posts ive tried to defend him but fans have turned on him.. they overblown about every aspect of Tank, Smith and zeke because of their deal and not using logic and stats that show otherwise..

it was adown TEAM year and it made things worse..Imagine next season Dak, JOnes, and Amari if they get new deals and are here ..OMG:omg::rolleyes:o_O

emotions take over and sometimes they cant see through the hate,,:)

we all know the truth is somewhere in between mosts who are divided..2020 we get to reset...breathe, relax... its ok lol

His stats look good no doubt. So did our offensive stats and parts of the defensive stats. And there were issues throughout on both sides of the ball that caused us problems all season.

I think if any season has proven that you have to look beyond the stats this was the one. There are examples of that all over this past year. Jaylon is no doubt one of them.

I’ll also agree that he gets a lot of hate because of his personality and I’m guilty of that as well. But at times his play was not up to par either.

I too have seen those posts. Remember, there are different ages in here to take under consideration. After awhile, you'll know who to weed out.

Back on topic. If Jaylon were such an embarrassment, he wouldn't of been elected to his first pro bowl in 2019. :muttley:

but using words like busts and embarrassment and CANT PLAY IS WHAT THE NARRATIVE HAS BEEN ON JS..its wrong.. He may not have had a banner year but no way can he be described in those words..go look hes been a target as Zeke has and Tank..its wrong,,So the dudes got paid , the Team failed and we get a reset in 2020.. people here have gone overboard with the players who got big deals..some of these layers are on the field for like 900 snaps and they keep posting the same 3 examples of bad plays..come on it happens

he got in as a alternate not exactly voted in first chair.. I wouldn't use that as a argument but yes the hate trolling has been in poor taste..

to get from where he was...looking like he would never play again....to where he is now...one of the better young LBs in the league...is awesome.
his '19 was up and down...too be expected for a young player.
but he is CLEARLY one of our best players who continues to get better.
he is CLEARLY a tremendous person with an exceptional attitude and the heart of a warrior.
we are better for having him in my opinion.
Jaylon is gonna be a helluva player for a helluva long time.

I agree with you on that. People go to extremes on both sides. He’s not a bust or an embarrassment. But at times he wasn’t very good either.

You guys can discredit Pro Bowls all you want but at the end of the day they don't just put bench reserve guys in the Pro Bowl. I don't recall Dexter Coakley getting a bunch of Pro Bowl appearances.

im not discounting them as much as you think just that they dont mean as much and they mean less when you go in as an alternate,..Get the League MVP or SB MVP then come talk to me HOF ultimate tag but PB not as much as it used to be..
