Pay Dak already. It is in the team's best interests

Well what Dak needs he can't get in free agency anyway. What he needs is going to have to come in the draft. Money isn't a issue in Dallas. I know its a nice little narrative for people to run with but if the Cowboys want someone they can literally move money around and get who they want. You notice how the Eagles are always over the cap but somehow are always in trade discussions to get people or sign their own guys? The salary cap can be manipulated to give Dak whatever pieces he needs.

And regardless if you think Dak is the guy or not...whoever the quarterback is will need help. A rookie QB will need a LOT of help. And a old veteran like Rivers and Brady will need help.
this offense is currently stacked, I don't expect another QB to need so much to not be a problem on offense.

Why because some idiot says so?

The only thing that has been proven is you have no clue about QB's and Dak proved trolls like you dead wrong.
we missed the playoffs with a fairly healthy roster, and offense was stacked. Sure Daks numbers looked good on paper, but there was a distinct difference when playing non contenders and contenders, or should I say decent defenses. Dak didn't prove anyone wrong, other than if he was legit he would've had a contract last season.

Man I like & respect you Catch but you are so wrong on this one... Like really really out of touch. Dak will take this team the the bowl.
No, he won't. Dak is not capable of lifting that kind of load on his back and taking it that far. If the Cowboys get to a Super Bowl it will be a team effort. Mike McCarthy will make Dak his system QB. It's going to be a great system as long as everyone does their job. Dak can't do it alone.

Initially, I felt as though franchising Dak would be ok. Take a year to see if he's REALLY the way forward...

But the scope has completely changed since the hiring of McCarthy. We need Dak in camp on day one. This upcoming season has the potential to be a very special season. Don't half step. Sign the QB. For once, get in front of the 8 ball instead of behind it.

I, personally, wouldn't blame Dak for holding out if not signed. At the end of the day, the Dallas Cowboys don't give a crap about him. They give a crap about the franchise... Period.

Sign Dak ASAP.

I m not lobbying for a bank breaking contract. Dak has already made it clear he's willing to take something that's "fair for both sides"... So get it done!
Overpaying Dak is not in the team’s best interest. It will ruin the team for the next 10 years and they will be bad years when the team can’t afford to pay the talent that Dak requires around him to play at a decent level.

There is a young man I have known since about age 5 or so. He and my Son played together for years, through out HS etc. My Oldest Boy was the best man at his wedding. He has been a New England Fan for as long as I've known him. I asked him the other day if he thought Brady was coming back. He told me he didn't know but he thought that there was a good chance that Brady would not be back. I have no idea what that means but it seems like it's definitely a possibility. Guess we'll see.

I've heard/read couple tweets suggesting he may wanna see what his true free agent value is and whether or not the Pats would match it. Notice the Pats, unlike the Chargers with Rivers, have not pubically moved on.......yet.

I'm talking the offense, why would I hold the defense against him?
You said Dak needs all the help he can get. When you said that I assumed you were talking about as a team since you need playmakers on both sides of the ball to win in this league.

No, they actually looked good on the field as well.

Dak has proven you turds wrong since the moment he stepped on the field.

THIS year was the most embarrassing as he lead the NFL in passing.

Woo-hoo....he led the league in passing. 8-8 smh!

Exactly,
Did you Brady was 17th in QBR , 13th in TDs, and 7th in yards .

According to the stats, this guy is a bit better than average .

& yet ..., most if not all NFL players and ex-players call him the goat QB . He also made the playoffs this year .

Yes. I would like to see Dak signed. But not at any cost. He's worth about 30. Maybe a little bit more. But no more.

Overpaying players is never in a team's best interest. How many times have we said that?

$25-$32 million, sign me up. Anything above that, I'll take my chances elsewhere.

Leading the lead in passing are personal stats that helped DAK... (Once again, GARBAGE STATS).. Let me know when you can tell me anything Dak did that helps the team...

Depends on what you call "fair to both sides." If fair to both sides mean you don't have money to get him weapons or keep him clean, its not fair to either side.

The defense wasnt bad either. 18 and 19 were the best defenses since 07

Shanahan just does such a good job of orchestrating the offense.

This is how you keep a defense honest.

With the Patriots offering Brady just $30 million, Dak's expectations should go down, too.
The non-exclusive tag will be sufficient.
If he does well in 2020, then pay him a little better.
