Yes.

Dez was one of the first to openly attack Garrett as our problem not winning.

He was 1000% right. He also called out a number of players who were an issue, too.

I believe him now. He called out Witten getting the ball too much with Garrett. This was true.

Look at 2019. Garrett told us Witten was returning ONLY to take limited snaps to develop the other TEs.

Never happened. Witten went right back to getting 65% of the snaps. No progress for Schultz and Jarwin.

So Dez knew what he was saying.

Dez is but one of a long list of people who had issues with Garrett.

They're not 'all wrong'.

The only thing Dez was good at was out leaping every defensive beck in the league. If it wasn't for a couple seasons of catching Romo's lob balls he would be forgotten by now. This guy destroyed his body for 2 seasons of glory...good choice, but bye. The only guy who owes him anything is Romo.
Dez was one of the best running a slant and a fade in the endzone.

Everybody dissed him for his route running. We have others like Gallop and Amari to do that.

What Dez can do well is when Dak has to scramble..Dez can uncover.

When you have somebody like Dez, you use them doing what they do best.

He was dropping some passes, but Dak is not the best at locating passes for receivers.

We all know that.

So..

"Dez is down 10 pounds in recent weeks and is at his playing weight again."
i.e.,
"I was 10 pounds fatter in recent weeks."

If you show up lean and trim, don't tell everybody you only just got fit a few weeks ago.
Lol, good point. One question. Do you think he'll still drop passes after losing the weight?! :lmao:

How do people hate the Cowboys all time TD receiving leader? The guy left the game at 29, how are we hating him for hustling and trying to come back?
I don't hate him, but he's a headcase and has been out of football going on 4 years.

Curious. As I recall Dez route tree was pretty much one or two routes. That's a tree branch, not a tree.
I think that is just an overblown cliche' statement.

He ran more than that obviously.

What he was really good at and terrorized secondaries with was uncovering when the QB scrambled.

Gallop and Amari run great routes.

What we need is a true possession WR who moves the chains and scores inside the 20s.

Dez.

I don't know why the WR position has so many divas but there is that balance between talent and time dealing with their problems. Payton was willing to take that on and he probably talked to his buddy, Booger, about him prior to signing him.

Now we've got Beckham and Brown, two more immensely talented players that can't handle themselves like grown men. I've not kept up, is Brown pissed off and threatening Armageddon or apologizing now? However, they've shown more reason to put up with them than Bryant has. And does anyone really trust Bryant that he's not that guy? He'll say whatever to get back in but he's the same guy, humility leaves quickly when he gets what he wants.

Look at Owens. He could keep himself in check as long as he was on those one year deals but the minute he got that 3 year one, the old Owens showed up. Another immensely talented child.

Do you really believe Bryant is all about team now, just give him a chance to be part of the corps? If they keep Cooper and Cobb, they've got the nucleus of a very good and very unselfish WR corps and not one of them disrupting the huddle because they're not getting the ball enough. I wonder how the QB feels about him coming back? We probably don't have to ask Lee.

Some team will give him a chance, just hope it's not the Cowboys. Besides, didn't Big Mike say he didn't catch it?

Not at all.

I question everything done under Garrett as done to support his shake hold on the HC position.

I believe that he was neither absolutely terrible nor absolutely perfect, but a normal, flawed human being like the rest of us. He had both his strengths and his weaknesses. I certainly don't think Garrett was blameless in the Dez situation, and neither was the player. To try to lump it all on any one person is foolish.

Is Dez forgetting that Stephen Jones is still here also ? .. LOL :muttley:

All of the other " snakes" (besides Stephen) that supposedly paranoid and plagued him ..are not necessarily gone.
There may be a chance Sean Lee (the other "captain- snake " ?) ... could possibly return.

For athletes losing 10 lbs is not significant.

Also if you've followed Dez you would not say he just got fit.

And let's not forget that parting shot McClay took at him about him not getting separation. Why would he want to come back to the Cowboys?

I think there is some truth to your post but the simple fact is, Dak Prescott is still afraid to throw to a receiver that is covered. Dez was one of the best wide receivers in the game at coming away with catches while single or even double covered. Tony would throw the ball up to Dez all the time if he was being smothered and Dez would make the play. That's why Dez play faltered when Dak took over. Dak didn't realize that Dez wasn't a route runner who was gonna be wide open every play. Dez was a guy you just throw the ball to no matter how many guys were covering him. Dez needs to find a way to play with a great QB. I think him and Rodgers would thrive together.
