I will always like Dez for a number of reasons.

He has the fire this team is missing.

Never perfect but always ready to play.

Made mistakes, paid the price and still a fan favorite.

Colorful, tough player, loyal to a fault.

Don’t know why Dez keeps lobbying to come back to the Cowboys it’s not happening! One of the main reasons they moved on from him was because he and Dak had no on the field chemistry. They were having trouble getting on the same page because of Dez’s inability to run precise routes. A few weeks before Dez was released Stephen Jones talked about the chemistry issues between Dez and Dak.

He’s owed nothing, this is a business and he was paid for his services. There is no, nor should there be, any loyalty. Players leave teams all the time for bigger pay checks and teams cut long time veterans if it’s in the best interest of the team.
