There has been no reports anywhere that i have seen of Dez squandering his money, the rest i agree with but throwing out that Dez has an empty bank account without any proof is just wrong
I dont think he is squandering it just not working and trying to maintain his life style whatever it may be . Kind of like old Rock Stars they break up somebody gets there panties in a wad then 5 yrs later when the bank account looks low because we havent changed our life style its time to suck it up look past the squabbles reunite and make some more money .

I think Dez is in the same boat but with a much shorter window . Never saw Dez as a humble, pride swallowing, groveler. but big bills and lack of proper funds can make a guy appear a bit desperate like he looks now .

Im all about giving him a chance bring him to camp and watch him compete to prove himself . Might surprise everyone and be the best Dez we have seen in a long time

Personality issues aside, why would we want an aging WR who runs awful routes and has questionable hands?

Dez was a great Cowboy. But, he relied on his physical gifts instead of putting the work in to become a polished player. If Dez ran routes like Amari (or 75% as well) he'd still be in the league and highly paid.

For the same reason the Eagles practice squad players kicked our butt . HUNGER a willingness to sacrifice his body at this point and do what ever is necessary to play again because HE HAS NOTHING TO LOSE .

He knows his time is almost past could be a surprisingly good version of Dez. Costs next to nothing to bring him in to camp for a look .

Guaranteed to raise the level of competition in camp because Dez is going to use every streetball trick in his arsenal

All reports I've heard have said the Cowboys have absolutely no interest in bringing him back.

Zero, zilch, nada.

He was a major headache before.

Exactly. It really is embarrassing at this point. He should maintain a little dignity and move on.

Perhaps if Dez had not actually behaved like a petulant child, stayed in shape and worked at his craft he would still have a job.

For those saying that he is broke, I say hungry for sure, but: Career Earnings: $57,398,735

Sports Illustrated says 78% of NFL players are BROKE two years after retiring from the NFL. Dez is a real dummy Vince Young style, he's most probably flat broke as we speak. He couldn't run routes years ago, what my us think he can run them now?

Dez Bryant has reportedly been 'pleading' with Cowboys to bring him back

Dez Bryant has sent numerous tweets campaigning for NFL teams to sign him over the past several months, and that includes trying to convince the Dallas Cowboys to give him another shot. Apparently he has taken that pitch directly to his former team as well.According to ESPN's Ed Werder, Bryant h

Wanting to and begging for it in no way increases his chances the the Cowboys have lost their minds and would sign him again. Lets review a couple of things. In 2016 his second from his last year with Dallas he was a single drop away from leading the league in drops. In 2017 his last season in Dallas he DID lead the league in drops. Before is exit from the Cowboys he was never consider a fast receiver and now at 31 after a achilles injury he has to be even slower. Lastly the last couple of years in Dallas all he was, was a one trick pony that displayed whether he liked the coaches or not had animated arguments with coaches on the sidelines. Once in anger just walked off to the locker room before the game was over. Not to mention the reports that the last couple of years he was a locker room problem. On a character issue, this is the same guy who was arrested for hitting his mother. So tell me what are the chances that McCarthy will tell Jerry and Stephen that in no way does he want him anywhere near the Cowboys.

Yeah I saw that statistic awhile ago. I was kind of shocked, but then not really. But I'm pretty sure that doesn't include too many players that make 10s of millions. Most plays don't make that kind of money, but they like to spend. But you could be right. That 57 million is a gross amount. In actual money it is probably closer to 25 million.

He's butter fingers. He didn't make that catch in GB, just ask McC.

Would be interesting to hear his take on that now, now that he is the HC of the Cowboys. Curious if he would have a change of tune suddenly? :muttley:

Over the past year or so Dez has posted a few things about financial investments and getting good returns. He spoke of learning about finances.

In my opinion, Larry Fitzgerald was always a possession receiver who also had very good athleticism when he came into the league. He was a good route runner and worked on the nuances of the position. As he aged and his athleticism diminished, he still had the foundation to be a productive receiver.

Only because he was a player who truly wanted to win and made his voice and opinion heard on the sidelines..
Which was counterproductive to JG and his players boys club attitude

Uh, no, because he was a player they had to send someone to his house to get him because he constantly overslept and missed meetings.

He also was the player who would get so involved jaw-jacking with the opponent that he'd take himself out of the game mentally in the first quarter because he couldn't gain his composure.

He was also the guy that spent so much energy early trash talking that he'd be cramped up on the sideline in the fourth quarter and couldn't go.

He was also the guy that never learned to run read routes based on coverages and only had about three routes.

And he's the same guy that has lost his speed and vertical and doesn't have Romo anymore to figure out how to use him.

Dak didn't go to Dez much. It made sense why.

Hunger doesn't get a guy who runs rounded post routes at a 4.65 40 pace open.

If he's spent the last two years working on route running, sure. I just doubt it.

Bryant can't help himself. He is who is is and isn't going to miraculously change his ways.
