Vet min. 1 year deal.
Probably go somewhere else, but yeah. That's all I'd offer.
I'll go ahead and guarantee the full year (since it won't hurt and might trump other deals), but yeah. That's it.

I remember working for an Australian company that sold high-end sunglasses.
Prices started at 79.99.
We would get them manufactured in China. It cost us 15 cents per to make those bad boys.

I wonder how much it would be to get bulk t-shirts?
15 cents for 50? Sell them for $5 each?
Find the stand, I'll work it. I like flea markets.

What test?

In the new CBA the league will have a window of 2 weeks to test the players.....Which I imagine...you gotta be clean. Players will know it's coming...so it's not like it's a big surprise. I just have a hard to believing Irving can get clean to pass the new league test to get eligible.

That’s exactly what Irving did, seek employment elsewhere and I salute him for doing what is right. I could care less about the football aspect other than the policy is outdated and about to change.

And that's great for him, but that he's filing to be reinstated...some other team can have him. I want players who focus on football first when they're players.

Unreliable is a performance work trend or action over a specific time. Quitting is a bit more finite. I do not feel the need to preach to your choir considering you are a very thin skinned, conductor ;) You should consider my preaching to your choir a limited, regrettable accidental overlap.
When you can redefine words to mean whatever you want them to mean then you can afford to go through life with your myopic POV, Mr. Magoo. However, the outside world does not work that way. Words have meaning and rather than redefining them to suit your narrative, we have to actually know what they actually mean and respond accordingly. No one forced you to reply to me so you obviously do have the need to preach to the choir. It's not my choir, btw. It is the vast array of us who share the same opinion, including you. You should consider sharing that opinion with others that maybe see things differently. Otherwise, you get into these circular circle jerk discussions that we are having right now that accomplish nothing. Have a great day my friend. :)

I disagree.. He’s too talented.. If he wants to play he’s a huge addition to the team.
If he's 75% of who he was, I'll video myself doing cartwheels for all of you. Guy was a beast. Imagine Gregory, D Law, and Irving. Add some depth with that, and sheesh. Monster line. It'll make losing Secondary a little easier.

No one forced you to respond to my post either. Attempting to put me in whatever posting place for simply adding to your post regarding Irving, is asinine. I found it amusing that you would get so bent out of shape over me partly re-affirming Irving's behavior. I understand about posting decorum in forums (I have been in them for decades) but when the criticism is unwarranted or personal I have no problem standing up to it. The meaning of words and how they are used on this earth aren't owned, qualified and controlled by you.

Please don't lecture me about how the outside world works. I have been around for quite a long time, am self-employed and lived in different places, globally. I don't know if your abrasive reach out to me is because you are a long term poster, moderator or board owner, but I reject your contrived posting issue in form and substance. I don't think I have posted in this particular instance so egregiously to have earned your waste of my time.

By all means have the last word, because I want to get back to posting about the Cowboys.

LOL You're a fool and I suffer no fools. You have a nice day in your own little world making up new meanings to words so you can continue on your foolish ways and not adapt to the bigger world around. :)

Smart move for David Irving. He sees where the CBA is heading. He will be free to smoke weed while playing. Hope to see him back. Only boomers that voted for Reagan think weed makes ppl bad ppl lol.

Only stupid people sign a contract with a team when knowing league rules, then crying about it when he gets suspended and "retires" to prove a point....despite knowing the direction the next CBA is going.

It's about self-control.

After reading the full SI article, I think this is a non-story. Irving is still committed to smoking pot, no matter how he defends it, and while he claims he misses football, I don't think he will ever play football again. Irving is not a trouble maker or a bad guy. But I've seen this before with people who become "addicted" to marijuana. It becomes their priority and right now it is David Irving's priority. Its a free country and he lives in a state where pot is legal. He can do what he wants but the Cowboys can move on from David Irving.

And now he'll be back. Took some time off tried to get into business for himself. I'll never hate on a man trying to do what he feels is best for him and his family without breaking the law or hurting others to do so. Once weed is legal in this country we can go back to healing communities that have been ravaged by Reagan's war on drugs.

Considering cigarettes and alcohol are legal and they do more harm than smoking weed and players can do both at will. Can't wait for the boomer generation to die off tbh

I remember that GB game though and he dominated that day. I wonder if a new coaching staff and a new understanding that working at a normal job doesn't produce enough income to support his lifestyle may not have changed his attitude?

Look at his entire history. No thanks.

This comment makes your generation sound so much better. I am not advocating for or against pot. You missed my point which is that football is not Irving's priority. I honestly don't give a rats tail what you or Irving smokes or drinks.

Discussing football performance only....vastly overrated player by Dallas fans. Typical. The physical talent is obvious but that hardly makes him a consistent and good player. The guy runs as hot and cold as your kitchen faucet. To his credit, he's had about 5 outstanding games, 2 ironically vs McCarthy...but the remaining, essentially non-existent.

But hopefully it works out for him. Wherever he lands, assuming he does return to the NFL.

that's just it., ... he doesn't want to play football for the love of football... he's playing it for that patented Tuesday checks only, and he'll play in cruise control and only according to
however he feels like it. the practice absences, if he'll play hurt, if he will play hard, if he will come in shape, the up and down disappearing acts on the playing field.
the coaches know,. .trainers know.. players and teammates know,,

Sure Irving is rangy, lengthy, agile, quick off the ball and when he's motivated enough, can create some interior pressure.you don't want to have to baby sit a guy that doesn't love football.
a guy whose been a career questionable effort and drive, that doesn't have the dog in him to be best at his position, he'll cruise and flash just enuff' ..do just barely to just enuff' to get by.

I'd much rather trust in McClay's search around again for another with Irving's kind of tools and talent, and very hopefully without his kind of questionable drive, passion for football.

Very nice post.
