Behind this O line, Gordon would produce more than enough to be adequate and at a much cheaper price. That’s what smart teams do, one or two year cheap rentals with these veteran RB’s or draft one far back in the draft.

But nope, we used a number 4 overall pick and paid the Ewok as the highest RB because he threw a tempter tantrum and went to Cabo. He’s been so worth it  Everyone loves to brag about his stats but unfortunately they don’t translate to wins and now we lost one of the best corners in the league, which is much harder to replace, and overpaid for a JAG LB because Jerry caved and catered to the diva.

I know which deal I'd rather have on our cap.

Actually he is. And his contract is 48 Million for the first four years, which is all that matters. The 15 Million per year number is inflated because they added years to give him that "highest paid RB" title and spread the cap hit for the bonuses out.
Yeah the structure of it makes it more tolerable....and much more importantly....maybe this will show 21 if he shows up fat yet again his time is gonna be short.

As I'm typing that, I cant recall a Dallas team that contained more dudes that I absolutely cannot stand.

Very unlikable bunch. Act like they've done something. They cant even take a division that's basically handed to them.

Structure is they key
Gordon’s pretty much means he gets two years
Zeke s pretty means he’s gone in 3 years and it cost us 12 a year

Seriously better. Way better career numbers, not even adjusting for Gordon's extra year.

Heck, Gordon's got 4 years with YPC of less than 4.0.

Zeke is way better and who gives a freak about what the Broncos, who stink, and Gordon signed for. Zeke has rushed for 1000 + more yards in 11 less games. The Broncos need to worry about getting or developing a quarterback because they haven't since Manning retired. I'm beyond sick of all these comparisons of what Zeke makes and every other running back. If Gordon was slightly worse than Zeke as you suggest he wouldn't be signing with the sorry *** Broncos for pennies and the Chargers wouldn't have let him go.

Yet no smart team signed Gordon........Bronco's had cheap running backs that were solid and still went and signed him.

And y'all keep talking this "Ewok" nonsense but that "Ewok" is arguably the best player in that draft. Hell I wouldn't even argue against unless you are a Carson Wentz fan.

Zeke and Melvin are different players, Zeke has a lot of haters now because of his hold out and eventual contract. These haters take every opportunity they get to knock Zeke so here we are again. We are supposed to pretend Zeke and Melvin are similar players and so Melvin now getting a deal with the Broncos for petty cash means we overpaid for Zeke. It's a lame argument that's hardly worth paying attention to.

The Cowboys have an ejection button built into Zeke's contract after the 2022 season if he isn't earning his keep. You haters, hate because you aren't smart enough to understand the legalese in Zeke's contract. It's a Cowboy's friendly deal for arguably the best RB in the league.

On the other hand, there is Melvin Gordan who tried to pull the same stunt Zeke did by holding out last year. The Chargers weren't playing that so they let him hold out until he figured out on his own that the hold out was going to get him nothing. He's simply not as big a deal as he thought he was. He didn't have the leverage he thought he did to successfully pull off a hold out. He is certainly no Zeke. The haters will pretend otherwise but folks, don't be fooled. Zeke is the real deal while Melvin is the imitation. Best of luck to Mel in Denver. lol

Best player doesn’t equate to best decision. Other than Nelson, the same could be said for Barkley and that was even more of an idiotic decision on the Giants part considering the position they were in compared to us when Jerrah drafted knucklehead.

Same goes for FA’s who many are notoriously overpaid, just because they are the best FA at their position doesn’t mean you should over pay for them. Although some positions are more worthy of paying for than a RB which is about the most expendable position on the field.
