Now you are telling the person who posted it what the article means. Do you need the author to tell you what it means or are you going to continue to show your age?
There's nothing magical about posting an article, I read that long before either of you could spell Tony Romo and type it into Google search. It's not like it has any bearing on the reality of the situation, it's just one random article. It's just funny to hear you trolling about an article that is flying directly opposite of the drivel coming out of your mouth.

That's from the article. Not my opinion. You are hoping into a discussion that has nothing to do with you.
This is an open forum, all discussions are open to everyone.

Poor argument from the article.

I do not believe it was a Garrett decision. I also do not believe Jerry demured to a Garrett decision because his love of Romo. Not calling you out, but perhaps your source for that comment.

Looking back over the history of the league that I have seen, I only recall a few times when a QB that was hurt lost his job without ever being on the field again. I think Frank Reich with Buffalo. I could be wrong in this. But the standard from coach to coach is a player does not lose his starting position due to injury.

Your prediction of they would find a way to lose is subjective and ignores the fact they did just that. As they did during 2007 and 2014. But circumstances in those two seasons does not dictate what 2016 would have been with Romo.

I would have loved to see him jacked up and ready to play.

This article seems to elude to Garrett being the one who made the decision.

Apparently, according to Hill, Romo feels “let down” by Garrett rolling with Dak Prescott instead of Romo.

“Per a source, Romo felt let down by Garrett’s decision to stick with Dak Prescott and not give him a chance to win his starting job back after missing the first nine games of 2016 with a fractured bone in his back,” Hill wrote.

Its all opinion based on my part. I just don't believe the Cowboys had the head coach and defense to win consistently enough in the playoffs. Garrett to me would've let us down like he had done to that point. Every post season appearance was a let down. Maybe its not fair to put that all on him but he was the one constant that consistently failed at his job every postseason. Its also criminal they only had what? 3 or 4 post season appearances? That's a reflection on your head coach.

Apparently you aren't good at reading either and posted the chart that you wanted to support your conclusion rather than the other chart in the article. The article isn't saying what you think it is either.

are you doing any different? even the chart that says what you want it to say not all of that chart puts him in top five.his interception rate ranks him tied for 7th. we all went through it together and that era most of the discussion would place him 6-10

Brees,Brady,Rodgers,Big Ben,and Payton clearly top 5. then tony falls into next group with Rivers but believe what you wish. i m,ean if you want him to be the best of his generation then he is.

It is a good video. And when I say good video, I mean complete video, of which contains far more content than simply its YouTube title of 'Tony Romo: Losing my spot to Dak Prescott' suggests. Or this particular thread suggests.

Romo's comments about team are relevant in my opinion. No one player is above their team. I believe team goals are equally relevant.

2016 was an euphoric season for quite a number of people, from Jerry Jones to fans to members of the media. A rookie quarterback was leading his team on a historic regular season run. The rest of the team seemingly fed off Prescott all the way to a number one NFC playoff seed.

There was only one remaining team goal at that singular point-in-time. It is the sole team goal any team hopes to fulfill if-and-when the opportunity presents itself. And it is the single team goal devoid of rational dispute.

Reach and win the Super Bowl.

2016 did provide one particular franchise defining result. Jerry Jones had acquired his future franchise quarterback. It is my continued belief Jones made his final decision after a few preseason games and one-half of a regular season in his evaluation. Personally, I accepted the ramifications Jones' decision would entail for the next five, ten, heck, possible fifteen or more seasons to come--in November 2016. All ramifications.

Contract demands

Salary Cap concessions

Roster adjustments

And more.

Jerry Jones had proven and continues proving to this day he commits, one hundred percent, to the man he picks as his franchise quarterback. Jones made a solid choice in Dak Prescott, whom I think will have a successful NFL career, with the support of team management, quality coaching and effective teammates--just like any other successful quarterback.

However, the team's 2016 goal was never destined to become true.

Why?

No rookie quarterback has and never likely will ever compete for and/or help win a National Football League Super Bowl championship.

It is 2020. Dak Prescott is Dallas' (now) veteran quarterback, capable of leading his team to a Super Bowl championship, with all the right pieces falling into the right places just like any other quarterback, regardless of what his overzealous critics say and think.

Go Prescott!

Go Cowboys!

Thanks Romo.

That sounds good but far from reality. You just better hope you keep your little job and don't get replace by a robot while you're being Daks groupie unless that pays well with health benefits

It is a open forum. But you are a jumping into a conversation based on misinformation. You have no idea what you're talking about because you jumped into it. He claimed the article was positive opinion on Romo while it wasn't necessarily positive or negative. He posted one line of that article to back his stance up and I posted far more than one. You are arguing something that isn't debatable. Now I do have posts on here about my opinion on Romo that are arguable.

There is a reason Tony didn’t just ask to be released and sign somewhere else. He knew he was done. His health was done. He was playing behind the best OL and with a rushing stud, yet his body was broken time and again. I believe that’s a huge reason he wasn’t brought back....I doubt it was just Dak and the hot team. If Tony comes back and lasts one game, two games, whatever, now you have a mess. Tony retired, not because he didn’t still love the game but because his body was shot, and he knew it.

Did you listen to what he goes through every morning even now?

You are seeing whatever it is you want to see. It's just an article, and it doesn't change the fact that Romo was inarguably a top 5 QB for many NFL seasons.

I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Romo. He played his bleep off for Cowboy Nation until his body failed him.

Had he remained healthy he would have won a SB, no doubt in my mind.

He didn't win a SB, and that's probably gonna keep him out of Canton. :(

More lies from you but what should I expect from someone that treats Dak like a special needs kid that can't be talked about. Carry on your lies sir. Good day

NO he wasn't. Also, the best ability is availability.

Romo asking for an open competition in the middle of a successful run like that, just shows how selfish and inconsiderate of the team he was. Glad that loser is gone.

yes, he was better.

Wish another some losers would leave this forum.

Not lies. I'm just going based on what you've shown me. You've shown me to either be a child or drug addicted elderly patient. You don't strike me as a adult who can engage in simple adult conversation without name calling.

More lies. I said you should know and you reply with crack references and when I reply in kind you're crying victim. Get the hell out of here. I guess you can't engage in simple adult conversation either so spare me this moral high ground bs unless you want to hold yourself to the same standard liar.

Is this English? Did you hit the reply button too soon? You need to slow down, your low IQ posts make you quite the punching bag and you're getting all of your responses mixed up. You really need to learn the lesson that not every single post needs a response...
