The Impact of a Box-to-Box SS like Adams who doesnt create Turnovers isnt 15 Million $ a Year .

Give me a young 1000 yard Receiver with good Hands and high upside over it anyday.

Heck no I shouldn't trade Gallup for Adams, not even straight up. Adams is still a SS and on no planet is a SS more important than a WR.

Adams is starting to get way too much hype

It hasn't stopped, nor will it. Not until the season starts, then they will still stick up the backside, saying trade for him.
Just glad they aren't the GM's. He has 2 INT's in 3 years, he is not the difference maker anymore than Jones was. But yet some will try to justify it.

Now if they can get him for a 3rd round pick, yes, but not Gallup, not a 1st round pick. A 2nd, maybe even that. But he needs to work out a new contract as well.

What if the Jets were willing to do an Adams for Gallup trade?

Would you be in favor?

I think it could be an interesting deal to look at. I don't think the Cowboys consider it, but I think an offer of Gallup might get the Jets attention.

No. Personally, I wouldn’t. We have a #1 WR (or close to it -cheap). There will be nothing cheap about Adams and I don’t think we will win more games with Adams than Gallup.

Two time all-pro safety entering the prime of his career

Up and coming second WR who has shown the possibility of being a high quality starter

“In all seriousness”, you might need to re-evaluate.

We had one all pro on the team last year. Zack Martin.

This would be a no brainer

Every single team in the league would do this deal except the Jets.
you may be right you may not be if Im GM and I know what our cap implications are especially with dak looming Im just not doing it.I like Gallup alot and prefer to hang on to him

Yikes. Bad takes are contagious this afternoon.
Safety picked top 10 with 2 ints in 3 seasons and the team that picked him trying to pawn him off halfway through his 3rd season... bust!,

Simply no, just no. It is apparent to most that Dallas still does not value the safety position over any other position. If they are going for Adams, have to believe the most they would give is a 2nd although the 2021 1st would seem what the Jets want. After this draft not sure if Jerry would even offer a 1st, probably thinks the S we sign as undrafted is just as good, jeez.

But with Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb, there isn't a better threesome in the NFL. Our defense finished 9th in the NFL last year and the biggest loss was Quinn, IMO. The games we lost we on the offense with Red changing what Kellen wanted to run and WR drops. There were at least 3 games we lost because we couldn't score 17 points, that is not on the defense. Adams would be great to have but I wouldn't give up Gallup for him.

I’m not saying I would do it but I think it’s interesting to think about and realistic because Gallup is an up and coming player still under control and they are receiver needy.

They did take Mims but I imagine they’d want someone more established to pair him with.
Mims was a nice draft pick
They have Jamison Crowder as well--whose numbers are not far off of Gallup's.
Plus they added Perriman in FA this offseason.

Not a great WR group, but certainly serviceable.

I find it comical that there are people on this board that think Dallas is the team that wouldn't make that trade.
It's the opposite. No chance the Jets would ever trade a top 5 safety for Gallup, straight up. Maybe if we added a 2nd rounder, or two 3rds.

Cobb isn't elite as in a #1 reciever. We disagree, fine.

Right, well my point was that we had an excellent trio of receivers last year so expectations of a large leap forward because of CeeDee running the slot instead of Cobb are unfounded. I think the biggest improvement with having CeeDee instead of Cobb is depth at the X position since Coop is likely to miss time here and there.

All great points and I agree with everything. Adams wants to be the highest paid safety in the league and he doesn't even like Dallas, in fact I think he said he hated Dallas above all teams.
