This is AWESOME!!!!

On passing downs blitz every time. Garrett will either have his guy throw way short of the sticks, or hold the ball to long, and get sacked.

That offense is about to get real good real quick. people can make fun of Garrett's offense all they want but your talking about an offense that with talent became one of the best. If they drafted the right offensive linemen with Barkley at Rb they are gonna be a tough offense.
If they have similar talent or less talent than the other team, Garrett’s offense will struggle. They always have and always will, because Garrett NEVER learned from his mistakes, only rationalized them.

Just some food for thought here. Joe Judge was mentored by Bill Belichick. Bill Belichick personally endorsed Joe Judge and that went a LONG way to him getting the HC job at the Giants. Would it stand to reason that Judge talked about his staff with Bill Belichick and got his feed back on them before he hired them? So basically, if Garrett was as bad as most of you guys say he is, if he is so incompetent, if is O is the worst ever in the NFL, I wonder why he was hired by Joe Judge. Maybe it was because Garrett spent a few years as back up QB in NY and they felt they owed it him, regardless of what some coach who help win them 2 SB had to say.

Judge and Garrett have the Saban connection. But Belichick and Garrett had become pretty close, as well.

Our fans have no ability to evaluate Garrett as an OC. Completely clueless. And they insist on attributing whatever offensive success we had to the QBs or to the first year OC.

The reality is that his offenses were always pretty good. And they’ll be pretty good in NY, too.

So you mean first down will be run up the middle for 2 yard gain followed by another run on second down, third down do a dump off pass then punt?

Lol suckers
Really. My first thought: "Hallelujah." That's two wins over the Gmen.

Just because something worked doesn't mean it was optimal.

Terrell Owens said the O lineman on the team would complain all of the time that defenses would be calling out our exact plays.

He said it was difficult for him coming from dynamic offenses to a team that tipped it's hand.

Dallas relied on talent and we are supposed to applaud that? No thanks.

Garrett sucked. He was a good Monday-Saturday guy but he gave us no schematic advantages on Sundays. He coached arrogantly and with his ego and Dallas came away empty handed with some great rosters.

There is a reason the best X's and O's coaches are constantly in the Superbowl and Garrett has a mediocre record. Because that clown put us in a 50/50 situation almost every Sunday.

He sucked idgit.. You can deny it and nerd out and look at numbers all you like but he ruined a lot of great players careers with his coaching arrogance and his our guys are better than their guys mentality.

He'll bring a 50/50 brand of football to a poor Giants club this year. It's actually good for them because they are so bad. People may even starts to sing his praises a little. The problem will be when expectations become higher and he is still playing that brand of football.

I didn’t suggest Garrett’s offense was optimal. Only that it’s generally been effective. And it has. Whether that’s because they did a good job drafting and developing players or not. It doesn’t matter what a malignant tumor like TO has to say about anything, the two seasons he overlapped with Garrett the team was productive, period.

It’s not actually the case that “the best Xs and Os guys are constantly in the Superbowl. But like I’ve always said, if we can upgrade to Belichick, we should totally do that. But that isn’t the question here.

Our issues in Dallas go back a lot farther than 2010. I know that’s inconvenient for people to believe, but it’s the truth. And if our team doesn’t take a step forward while the Giants do, it won’t be evidence that Jason Garrett sucks. You’re right that there will be people here that conclude it is. But we have dumb takes all over this board. That’s not anything new.

We needed to change for change sake 8 years ago.

Instead we wasted a lot of quality players careers because our coach thought we were the big bad Cowboys and we would just roll over everyone because that what they did in the 90's.

There’s no real point rehashing that territory. I can’t prove we would have been worse off with other coaches and you can’t prove we should actually have accomplished more. I’d agree that both the 2014 and 2016 teams were good enough they should have been NFCCG contenders. I don’t think we’d probably agree on the reasons they didn’t go farther.

The one thing that’s tough to dispute though, is that the offenses under Garrett from the time he was OC on have been generally quite a bit above average. And that’s true across four different play callers, two different QBs, many different offensive skill players, and three different OCs. You need to give him some credit where credit is due.

And Gints lose the game ? LOL .

DL especially DTs should be much better this year and so I will be surprised if any RB gets 200, even Barkley [ a special talent] .
I was including running and passing by saying scrimmage yards.

So Garrett is God awful on Sundays. He offers absolutely nothing schematically...his offense is trash

Yet, there is zero understanding on your part in how the qb might be better suited under a different coach / system?

It doesn't add up

I never said the QB might not be bette with better coaching.

The QB will need a lot to make him better.

He won’t be worth his contract because he is a limited player.. I want to win Superbowls.

I don't get the story. Do they think they brought in Garrett to run the triple option?

Of course the offense will like his in Dallas.

I understand what you want. We all want the same thing. I think it's illogical to think Dak can't make significant strides with a guy w an actual brain on the sidelines. And I'm not talking about small strides, I'm talking about the strides that you don't think he's capable of making.

Total coincidence, I'm sure.

It might have been the fact that there were a total of two teams with HC vacancies left by the time he hit the market.

It was even reported that the NYFG had interest in him as HC, but that there was no way to sell The fans the hiring an immediate Cowboys cast-off as the new Giants HC.

The guy was unemployed for two or three days, and then took an OC gig. That’s a fairly common path for recently unemployed HCs. You can’t say there wasn’t any interest.

I don’t know why it’s so hard for people around her to both be happy he’s gone and to accept at the same time that Jason Garrett has a really good reputation around the league. That’s been reported many times, and it makes sense given how he handles himself, the profile of his last job, and his role and performance at the league meetings.
