Twitter: Quotes like these are strong evidence why Big Mike is more relatable than the freckled puppet

I'm really excited about Big Mike and I hope y'all are too! I think this Tweet shows the big difference between Jason and Mike. Garrett always had canned robotic responses much akin to seeing the Zig Ziglar inspirational one liner tour... (for those whom don't know Zig, he was a great motivational speaker and writer)

Anyway, I love how connected Mike seems to be to his actual emotions, it's just such a breath of fresh air. I can 100% see how Mike will be able to get these guys to excel, the guy is as real as it gets. #justexcied

Remember when Garrett fanboys were comparing him to Landry because of the similarities in their stoic behavior? Good times...

I agree it's nice to finally have a coach with some soul.

"Randy's a good young man and he has some issues that he's been dealing with," Garrett said. "He's tried to deal with those issues head-on from Day 1. He's spent a lot of time getting professional help for his issues. He's worked very hard and he did a really good job for us this year after working through a lot of obstacles. Unfortunately he has had a setback, and he's not going to be with us for the near term, but we'll continue to support him."

Its nice to hear a fresh spin of BS spewing from the HC. People especially the media will feel the same way when big bill finally leaves the patriots.

I honestly don't care what he says until training camp and into the season... then I'll look at results and if he comes down hard on the players who half-heart it or continually make the same errors instead of clapping at them, smile, and slap them on the butt.

I knew there had to be a good example of Garrett saying a similar thing about somebody.

People go to great extremes to make things up!

If Garrett had said the same thing this guy would be bashing some part of it. It is quite silly!

I am not a Garrett fan but this whole post is just STUPID!

I understand, but the point I'm making is that from all the info I've seen in regards to Mikes demeanor, he seems more personally connected to me as opposed to giving what seems to be robotic fake repetitive messages.

I've never heard Garrett say that he is blessed to work with a player, he is not nearly as direct as big mike and I honestly believe that will pay dividends with the player coach relationship. It's one thing to like Garrett and what he stands for but that doesn't mean he is actually connecting with people. I don't think Garrett connected very well at all, but I see the opposite with Mike. Don't take my word for it, this has been reported by many others.

I agree. Mike is a more personable guy, capable of greater rapport with his player. The way Garrett talked, he always wanted you to know he was the smartest guy in the room even if he wasn't.
