Swag or not...if every player in the NFL is available.....I am not picking Drew Lock over Khalil Mack or Christian McCaffery. Hell I'd take Michael Gallup over Drew Lock.
Look im just saying. He's a young QB and I think hes gonna ball. Now again if my job were on the line no way I take lock there. But remember me this year when he's ballin

This is pretty lame. That being said, it is amazing that outside of a semi-large chunk of Cowboys fans that frequent this site, Dak is considered a very good franchise caliber QB.

Idk some might consider that clickbait. You aren't going to get much reaction without a little controversy in there.

Prescott, Wentz, and Burrows were picked over a a 6 time winning qb. Let that sink in and just goes to show how off this is.
I think this was both short term and long term thinking...the 6 time winning QB is 42. sentimentally it went to tampa and probably a team picking him that gives them a much better chance at superbowl in the next 2 years.

It's pretty obvious this doesn't take into account contracts.

But Mahomes is currently in a contract dispute too, how much are you moving him down?

I'm not sure I'd categorize that as a contract dispute, but there isn't anything that could knock him off the perch right now.

I take you've never played franchise mode in madden or participated in a dynasty fantasy football league.

Yeah for some reason busts were never built into player trajectory. Every rookie anywhere above 80 was destined to be the GOAT.

Why wouldn’t every team take a QB first?

At any rate, if ESPN did a draft of every player in history Dak would be picked fourth.

He's 43 years old. The fact that he's even taken in the first round at all is a achievement. No other 43 year old would even be considered. If age wasn't a factor Brady would be #1.

I have no issue with Brady. Its Drew Lock that's the issue if you want to devalue his list.
I agree with you regarding Drew Lock. That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw Lock's name and no disrespect to him there is no way he is as good as Prescott to be picked even that close.

Even if you want to say Dak sucks.......I mean Drew Lock over Khalil Mack is a joke lol.

Aye I'm not saying he won't ball. I'm not saying he sucks. I'm saying based on what we've SEEN? That's far too high for him. Basically they are saying he's a better player than Kyler Murray. I've seen nothing to suggest that at this point.

Just to clarify here.
One local reporter drafted for each team.

As expected, mostly currently starting or 2020 1st round QBs were selected in the first round.
Drew Lock went 15th overall, and Bridgewater went 18th, for example.

Jacksonville reporter Mike DiRocco selected
1-9) Dak Prescott
2-56) Daniel Hunter
3-73) JuJu Smith-Schuster
4-120) Marshon Lattimore

I mean does the draft pick come with or without the contract dispute? I'd move him down the list quite a ways over that, behind guys like Mayfield, Burrow, Murray, and Tua where you don't have to worry about the money.
Yeah, they don't include price with that.
I assume it reverts back to rookie deals.

Does this assume a one season thing, or moving forward for all eternity?

If the latter, how does a team pick Brees or Brady that high over some guys that you could have for much longer?

That HAS to be a factor...and a BIG one.
