How much were Romo and Dak being paid when they kept a healthy Romo on the bench?
At least pay attention, I would imagine everyone in this forum, including you, should know that Ranching loves him some Dak…The idiots are already yelling for Dalton.
Ah,, Ranch coming over to the dark side.Sounds about right. If Dak really is asking for a Mahomesque contract, I can see the plug being pulled and letting Andy run with it.
In my opinion, Andy is a quality QB. I like Dak and I believe he will be a Cowboy for a long time. However, I've been an Andy fan for years. Here's my question, if Dak doesn't sign an extension and struggles a bit early in the season, how long until,
1. The fans start yelling for Dalton?
2. How long until MM or Jerry pull the plug on Dak?
Dak is really good, but I'm smart enough to see that he's not on Mahomes level.Ah,, Ranch coming over to the dark side.
Its ok big fella, we have love over here and room for ya as well.
I love Dak. My question is, if it looks like he will not sign a contract and is on his way out, will they want to look at Dalton. If Dak is winning, he will get his contact, if he's no winning and demands 40 million????What are you 5 years old. I'll go real slow so hopefully you will be able to keep up. Romo got injured in preseason a long with the Cowboys backup QB and were put on IR. To recall a player from IR they first have to sit out EIGHT games even if they are not completely healed which is where Romo was. Romo was finally healthy enough to play after week 11 and Prescott was on a 10 game winning streak and it was decided that a rusty Romo might jeopardize the win streak and could re-injure his back again so the Cowboys stuck with Prescott. After the season Romo was released by the Cowboys and then turned down 2 offers and decided to retire and go on to the TV booth. Now still keeping it slow for you the Cowboys drafted Prescott and gave him a 4 year contract. Dalton after getting fired by the bengals in favor of a QB that has taken zero NFL snaps and willingly decided to eat the dead cap money got a very cheap 1 year contract to be a backup QB. The 2016 season with Romo and Prescott has zero to do with this season with Prescott and Dalton. Now the ONLY way there may be any comparisons would be if Prescott gets injured and Dalton pulls off the same type of winning streak, but any thought that Prescott will be on any kind of short leash because of the cheap 1 year deal of Dalton is just wishful thinking by Prescott haters.

Bah Humbug!!!First off this 40 mil a year has ALWAYS been nothing but guess work speculation. Prescott has publicly said without a Super Bowl win he doesn't deserve more than Wilson makes. Second IF no contract gets signed by the 15th, after the season the Cowboys get one more chance to get a long term contract done before free agency starts. If not they can tag Prescott again which would still be under that 40 mil a year amount, AND buy them time to get a long term contract done before the deadline next season just like they did with Lawrence. Lawrence signed his new contract just days after the 2nd tag was issued.

Not the thread. Read the questions.LOL. I assumed the thread was going to say he might even start on a few teams, which I agree with, but if folks are clamoring for him over Dak, the seasons over.
Love you too Rock!!!!Wasn’t referring to Ranch and he knows it.
You seem so mad. You were the one stating the guy with a low contract was no threat to replace the high priced starter even though that's exactly what happened before. It's happened on other teams as well. Yes, Dalton is being replaced by a QB who has never taken a snap before. The #1 overall pick. You act like these things have never happened before. What are you 5 years old. I'll go real slow so hopefully you will be able to keep up. Just for the record, I don't think Dalton takes a snap this year outside of injury. Even in blowouts Dak has shown he will not leave the game.
A lot like our last two QB's?Dalton is a decent NFL QB who has always faded in big moments.
Pleas tell me all of the times on the Cowboys where a backup QB replaced the starting QB with a 28 mil difference in pay. Yes rookie QB's do replace veteran QB's all the time but that does not change that there are reasons why a team would decide to go with a QB with no NFL experience over their veteran QB. Usually it's because the vet QB isn't that good or is getting up in age or both.
I'm glad that you also doubt other than an injury that Dalton will see the field, but I then wonder why you even bring up an totally unrelated 2016 injured Romo being replaced by Prescott in the first place.

Dumbest thing I ever heard. Dak isn't going anywhere and Dalton isn't taking over. Poor guys, will you ever get over Romo retiring because Dak took his job?
