That depends on the one you visit. I have one within walking distance from my house that is still amazing. :)
that is true too, i have 2 in my area, and one was awful, and the other was much better.
I still prefer to make mine at home though. I use HQ ground round.

At WB is about the people making the meat and putting them together too.
Sometimes the wet tomatos make it soggy, and sometimes I got one with handful of onions,
but only 2 pickles.
The lettuce is a joke.

Back in the 70's they ran the buns through a toaster deal which would butter the bun,
lightly toast it, and heat it up, then if meat is done right, and assembled good it was very good.

Braums have I think a better hamburger or beef burger as it should be called. again
it might depend on the store and current employees.

Omg. I just had my first whataburger patty melt. Amazing. Best thing they make by far. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had.

It’s enormous publicity and exposure for their brand. Cowboy haters didn’t stop buying Ford pickups, Miller Lite and Dr Pepper.

When promoting an Iconic label more exposure sells. Just look at the Cowboys despite all of our haters.
yur right, it does put it in peoples minds, but I wonder what they pay for that?

And I dont think it gets new customers, I would never buy a ford, dont drink beer, but if I did it wouldnt be miller lol. And Dr Pepper
is another company that has gone downhill. I quit buying them because most taste like crap or are flat. very poor quality control.
If you get a good pack, they are good, but there is only about a 20% chance of that.

Different strokes for different folks but I do have to wonder if I'm a sucker for Cowboys advertising because it works on me most of the time. I love Ford, Miller Lite, and Dr. Pepper. You already know I like Whataburger.

Dang!! lol,
well the test would be if they switched from ford to chevy, and you traded your ford in for a chevy.
How about ATT you use them too?

No AT&T and Shiner is my favorite beer but Miller Lite will do in a pinch.

Advertising and additional exposure generally generates additional revenue. It’s a proven method.

Ford trucks have been #1 in sales in Texas for a number of years. And first I’ve heard of flat Dr Peppers but then I live fairly close to the source.

Hasn't been the same since them damn Yankees took it over. I miss the old W.
It's just been a little over a year, and the individual franchises haven't changed hands (at least any more than they would have anyway). As long as they don't change the menu we really shouldn't notice a change. It's really more just the idea that it isn't a Texas company anymore that bothers me.

Better than White Castle?!
A guy tried Krystal's, White Castle rip, and it started off gangbusters and once the novelty wore off, he had to close the one in North Dallas. When we lived in Memphis, we swore by Krystal's Belly Bombs as the perfect hangover preventative.

Shiner Premium or Bock? I assume one of those rather than one of the other number of varieties.

My current favorite burger place was chosen on how good their onion rings and fries are.

In the past it has been, at times, based on their frosty mugs of root beer.

I have never bought a product or service because of a sponsorship. That "official" is not a statement on quality but is paid for and serves as a lockout to the competition.

As long as Whataburger holds onto that, they lock out any others in their category. There is also a certain amount of prestige and a warm fuzzy for fans.

The one thing I've never understood about Whataburger since they are a company with Texas roots is why no Chicken Fried Steak sammich? Seems like a natural to me. As natural as if Rowdy spoke, he'd sound like that old guy saying "What a burger"! He looks like that guy sounds.

BTW, there is also another area where this could benefit Whataburger. They have their condiments on the shelves of HEB stores in Texas. Sell through name recognition is yet another benefit to them and not the other burger joints.
