He’s the new Garrett — a guy who doesn’t know what it takes to be a successful coach, being allowed to figure it out as he goes — all at the expense of the Dallas Cowboys team. Only in Jerryworld

The offense had no flow because our defense couldn’t get the Rams off the field. We were also
Playing with an undrafted rookie at RT.

I would have liked more passes on first down but that’s nitpicking. Bottom line. We should have kicked the FG to tie the game. And we had a tough all go against us late. But the D Needs work for sure.

Here is what i dont understand

The first three games of last season you had motion, misdirection you took advantage of the other teams weakness

now its just ok whatever just slam it up the middle and run curl routes
Look at the opponents we had in those games. The opposition matters.

Amazing what an offense can do without 2 All Pro OL, WR1 and a top RB.

/What scares me is his lack of putting guys in motion or using guys skillset to their advantage....we did not use Dak's legs or use Lamb's after the catch ability at all. And they have some warped perception of what Schultz is.

Pollard disappeared in the 2nd half. No deep balls until the end. No quick hitters to CeeDee to see if he can make someone miss.

Two fails tonight - Kellen Moore and Dak Prescott.
Don’t forget Coach Mikey going for it on 4th down instead of kicking tying FG.

Absolute no imagination on offense, no motion, no RPO - no nothing.

But so glad we got a O guru in MM that won't step on his toes.
Do you think that somehow Garrett is still controlling the offense?

I mean, CowboysZone has proven without any doubt that Garrett took over the offense after week 3 last season because he was getting jealous of Moore and was sick of all the pre-snap motion and re-instituted his vanilla style offense.

All of that is still fact isn’t it?

Why are we still running on 1st downs? Where are the playaction passes? Was there even a SINGLE designed Dak rollout?

This was my main issue. We did ALOT of Zeke up the gut at their strength. In the 2nd qrt we ran hurry up and ran outside, threw to middle etc. Our plan after made no sense

What about our adjustments at halftime? We scored 3 points on 5 possessions in 2nd half.

He's calling what Dak can do. Dak can't read plays. Moore can't throw it for him. They're are limitations they have to work with.

And the receiving corps is being wasted in the process.

If you have the right play designs - dont have much reading to do.

Simple rub routes are nothing complicated.

I think a few more sub 20 point games and MM will step in. At no time last night did the LA defense look confused.

McCarthy will dump him after this season. He's just using Moore as a bridge for this transition year...especially with the pandemic limiting them. Moore has been bad since after the Miami game last year. The meaningless finale vs. Washington doesn't count
You see it to? McCarthy is using Moore to ensure he has a longer coaching leash

McCarthy inherited Moore because of Jerry. I guess he has decided to kick him into the deep end of the pool and let him sink or swim.

McCarthy is doing the right thing here. He is ensuring that he gets rid of Moore and Dak will be gone too by the end of the year - the offense has weapons, what you need is a QB who makes the reads faster and doesn't hold on to the ball.
