Can anyone tell me why this organization refuses to put the game on the shoulders of Zeke? Had last nights game been predicated off the run, all of the other deficiencies that we’re arguing over would seem less significant.

Is it that the team doesn’t believe in Zeke’s ability or is it because they question Zeke’s willingness to step up? I think we know the truth.

Dak isn’t great, but Zeke could be great, and it’s his refusal to live up to his ability is haunting the offense.
Zeke was great last night.

I agree, we should've run the ball more last night. Pollard should've gotten 10-15 carries.

The problem is he wasn’t the problem but absolutely wasn’t the answer and that’s what franchise QB’s are.

I love the kid and I hope we succeed with him but you can’t throw for 79 yards in the 2nd half of an NFL game the way it’s played today.
No QB can be an answer to a defense that gave up as much as they did. I know we all can put franchise qbs up in a place where they can seemingly cover up all faults across the board and win the game but thats not always the case. Some of the best qbs to ever play the game cannot do that so why does Dak need such a high perch? His purpose as qb is to move the ball down the field, dont turn it over, and be the leader the team needs. He didnt move the ball enough which is one factor we lost but whether thats him (talent) or other contributing other factors (injuries, time, etc) is all debatable here. I do not imagine that debate will go anywhere anytime soon but in this game in this instance, he was not the reason we lost this game. I take it as that and keep moving considering all the other issues we showed in that game.

Zeke is garbage off the field. But he’s still one of the best RBs in the game that makes defenses adjust to the RG. That’s football... Dak can be the nicest guy in the world, but guess what? He also has a DUI, parties with Zeke, didn’t lock up his pit bulls, criticizes his teammates in the press for not practicing hard like him, while it took him a week to throw a TD in training camp in year 3, said the contract issue was about ‘respect’, while completely ignoring the fact how much this team protected him and baby-sat and still baby-sits him. Now we are supposed to think he’s a leader because of opening up about anxiety and depression, while guys like Brandon Marshall and TO have opened up about their mental health but are bashed to this day. Like I said, spare me this self-righteous moral tripe, that is clearly hypocritical, besides the fact that even if Dak is nice, is irrelevant to the fact he’s a mediocre QB.

Anybody that tries to compare Dak to Mahomes is flat out a homer and completely delusional. Making bogus arguments that guys like Mahomes struggle a game here and there is disingenuous.

If I paint a portrait and someone critizes it . . . does that mean they hate me?

Come on son. . . stay on point.

Or we can't converse.

Stop trying to win every argument. . . become a man and admit when you are wrong
Didn’t you accuse me of not being able to comprehend? Want to go back and reread the posts and try again or do you need me to repeat that we discuss Dak as the QB of our team and not an individual human being? Stay in the context of what the discussion is.

This is the MODERN NFL, where the rules are catered to increase scoring. Constantly blaming the defense, while teams put up 30-40 regularly in shoot-outs, is a cop-out, especially when you claim the offense is now Dak’s, as opposed to Zeke. We saw the ‘truth’ of that claim once again...

Maybe our QB can’t change plays at the line, because he’s slow at processing, so our OC is stuck in his limitations. Our passing offense has relied heavily on play-action ever since Dak has been here. This team IS relying on Zeke.

Absolutely the offense stalled some in the second half - a decision not to kick a FG, a 3rd down sack, a couple of 3rd down drops and passes deflected at the LOS, pass rushers getting into the backfield quickly … mistakes all the way around. Dak gets a share of blame, as a QB should, but it's not all on Dak.

Not necessarily blaming dak. Just the offense as a whole. 17 points is unacceptable with that much put Into the offense.

Zeke is almost always great - but he’s rarely relied on to carry the team. It’s an identity crisis as I see it.

Either the coaches refuse to be a “run first” team, or they don’t feel that Zeke can handle to extended role.

With nearly every Cowboy loss, I can point to a moment when they got pass happy when any other team would run Zeke down the throats of other opponents.

Run the damn ball and then, run it some more.

While it is true that the Rams earned a significant advantage in TOP it is also true that Dak took only one snap less than Goff and both teams had ten possessions. Dak and the offense had the same opportunity to control clock as the Rams did, they just didn't get it done.

Again. I agree with this point. Many in this thread do. The point, and I’m speaking for myself here, is that Dak needs to have greatness around him, paying him what he is asking negates that. Plenty of QB’s who have a ring has done so taking less than top pay. Just because he is the Dallas QB doesn’t mean he is the best in the league. But you don’t need to be the best to win a SB.

I don’t care who is under center when we win our next championship. What I do know is we will not win another one paying top dollar to a good QB with a poor defense. We do not have access to a true elite QB so we need to spend the money on a supporting cast.

Not any winning that matters but I've always said most of you Dak fans are scarred of taking chances and I wouldn't be surprised if it shows offline too.
Dak is a Cowboy, I am a Cowboys fan, so, yes, that makes me a Dak fan. Glad we are on the same page.

Yes it will. I will critique every throw. I will blame him for every failed play, give credit to others for anything positive that happens, and highlight every negative. You know, just like how you act with Dak . I just won’t lie about being a Dalton hater.
So you are already a Hater of his. Wow . . . You ARE the downfall of our SOCIETY

What does that have to do with Steve Young, and how does this negate the statement that Dalton has not played well in the playoffs??
If you cant see the comparison then you are just dense

Yep. I am a Dalton hater. He is a bum. Would rather put Pollard out there and run wildcat than have Opie take a snap.

See. That wasn’t hard to do.
