Cryptic references to Earl Thomas situation

Twice now, I've heard local radio guys discussing Earl Thomas, and each said they'd be willing to talk to him and take a chance on signing him to help the defense.

However, both times they said they were also very weary of doing it because they know some things about the situation that they aren't able or willing to share about the back story going on with Thomas.

Does anyone know what that is about?

I'd like to take the chance on him, but not if it's really ugly stuff beyond what we currently know.

Unless he was on the passenger manifest of the Lolita Express then sign his arse.

That would prevent teams from talking about his issues. But the media is free to do as it pleases without a court order.
True, and I was thinking it's possible there's a gag order....or possibly just the threat of losing access to all things NFL related.

If cowboys are serious about winning they sign him. Look at how Seattle was transformed with Adams.

Imagine how unstoppable we’d be with Antonio brown in slot, Earl Thomas in the backfield, DeAndre Baker in our secondary, and if colts are willing to release the rights for it... Andrew Luck as our backup QB
I hope this post was in jest.

Definitely odd that he is still a FA. Even on the backside of his career he was still a good player, so, definitely something is up.

Too bad to hear for Earl and his health (assuming that is an issue) and for the Boys on having to miss out on a guy that could actually play safety.

Frankly, I’d sign Eric Reid and be happy.

They aren't going to sign Eric Reid for the same reason no one else has signed him. Google it. We're not allowed to post it here.

ET has been unemployed for a month. That's not an accident.

Fans clamor for a lot of things, often oblivious to the fact that the NFL isn't Madden and teams don't want guys who are more trouble than they are worth.

Looking at how things ended in BALT, not odd at all. Not even a little.

And most of our fans have been fed a steady diet of Madden game moves from our owner/GM. It’s the way he thinks- like a fantasy football owner trying increase the sizzle without any steak. Some of our fans love it. Because he thinks and acts like a fan. Thus the last 25 years.

I’ve heard whispers and by no means connected to anyone big but a program/counseling is what is needed before anyone touches him.

Maybe Earl is having too much fun playing Playstation and drinking beer to want a job?
Has He actually said He wants to play?

I love how they say "unwilling about the back story"....I'm guessing they don't know and just hear rumors. At the end of the day, his "back story" can't be worse than the Greg Hardy's of the world and the Cowboys signed him.

because in the NFL there is vast difference between punching your GF, and punching a teammate.
