Surprised Dak even threw it instead of running out of bounds especially knowing there was another down left. Heat of the moment I guess.
....with yet another LUCKY Hail Mary Touchdown no less.

Easy for us to say he should have thrown it away or went out of bounds to have another play when we are sitting in front of the TV and can see how much time is left on the screen...in the heat of the moment knowing the time wasted avoiding the sack it's easy to see where he may have thought it was the last opportunity to score due to time running out. I know you can see the 35 second clock in endzone but I don't think you have the game clock ( but I could be wrong).

No one else has mentioned this but doesn't the defensive player stick his leg out in an attempt to trip Dak here? Isn't that a penalty? Would've been nice to have one more shot at the end zone.

Not the best angle to see it, but yeah, looks like an intentional trip to me.

Had a bunch of WRs in the endzone. Had extended a scramble play for some confusion on the defense. Take that shot. Hope a WR can make a play on the ball. None did.

How many times?

Homes does it time after time. You seem to cite ONE example.

I thought he could have run a little bit down the sidelines and then go out of bounds. I think there was 22 secs. I would have like Dak to have few more shots at it. I just think he needs to run more. He is an effective runner in my opinion.

another missed penalty maybe

but regaining his feet was great throwing a desperate off target pass wasn't necessary could have ran throw it away threw it further left etc ..live for one more play..that was third down wasnt it? no need to end the game on a INT..our wrs were all closer to the out of bounds to the left of Dak he heaved it middle right,,it had no chance,,thats the issue,

great balance and recovery bad decsions to throw it where he did..if that was 4th down final play i would fully understand,..

we arent haters or low hanging fruit for pointing that out..

My guess is that in the moment that play probably felt 30 seconds long to Dak and he probably thought he needed to just heave it and pray as it felt like time had run out. He was kinda too busy to pause and look at the game clock on the scoreboard so I aint gonna hang on him for that. The adrenaline from fighting off the tackler then struggling to regain his balance probably cost him any chance for an accurate pass. Yes he has to get better at that sort of thing.. and I believe he will.

Didn’t see the trip. I wondered why he didn’t take off and run with it. Only one person I saw in front of him 10 yards down field.
One word.. Clock.. If he ran it and didn't score the game is over .. if he gets out of bounds too late the game is over.. The best chance he had was to try and get it where a receiver could make a play. As it was fighting off tacklers and regaining his balance took too much out of him to get off a good throw.

That’s a leg whip that is a penalty all day long.

Ehhh. Dak just didn't finish the play.

Zeke had a catch for TD or incomplete pass if Dak throws to the back left Endzone pylon.

I reviewed it on the coaches film which has better angles.
- I don't think it was intentional. The defender hit the ground and his legs came up all in one motion.

But if you throw it out of bounds on that play to run a Hail Mary on the next one, the Seahawks will have nine defenders standing in the End Zone instead of 5. It also looked like Dak threw it to Noah Brown, who would have had a shot if he had come back for the ball. But Dak's throw was slightly off also, which let the DB intercept it.

Yeah I think that was a factor in his decision.

It took the Cowboys forever to get where they were, that was the major problem. Debating the aftermath is an exercise is futility. It's like driving down a hill without breaks and then debating on how to stop.

I have zero problem with it. Dak was trying to make a play on the run. I'd rather him throw the ball to the endzone twice instead of just once.

How this OL could let that kind of pressure on a 3 man rush shows you how pathetic they are.

Because it reduces the defense to having to play only half of the field..

How so? If he sets his feet he can still throw it anywhere on the field. QB’s do it all the time. GB does it with Rodgers quite a bit. Seems we aren’t playing to Dak’s strengths. Just my two cents.

That sure looks like a trip to me. Should've been a call, but there were a lot of missed calls. Better defence would've avoided that problem. Especially when we took the lead the drive before this one with a FG. If we had a defence that could stop a nosebleed, Dak wouldn't have had to lead us down the field that drive. He did his job the drive before. The defence failed.

Exactly. Blaming Dak for this loss is the equivalent of blaming someone for failing a class project after he did all the work to finish it. But then his group members were reckless and ruined the project. And expected him to fix it back to form at the last second but he came up short. So you blame that guy instead of the others who messed it up.

This defense is beyond junk. The second we scored the FG, I told my gf that Dallas just needs to hurry up and let Seattle score to get the ball back. It was he only chance we had to win. Dallas defense gives up a 4th and 4. A 3rd down for a TD. And to top it off, the 2pt conversion where they were yet again fooled on the age old Russ bootleg and another wide open receiver. So we go from 1 up to 7 down in a matter of minutes. Heck even if they could not stop the 4th down, force a FG on the 3rd down and have us only down 2. Dak easily can get us in FG range with 1:45 and 3 timeouts. That is an eternity plus in today's league to get into FG range. But nope. Can't count on them at all.
