Would you be open to trading Zeke for a couple draft picks?

He wasn’t against the Falcons fumbling the ball twice on 3 carries, one of which led to a TD which could have cost us the game.

Dropping 3 short passes against Seattle certainly didn’t help either.

Bush performance league performance against two good teams by a RB his jock sniffers call the best RB in the league. I’m sure he’ll come up big and pad his stats against the next 5 teams who have a combined record of 5 wins and all will be forgotten until he drops the ball both literally and figuratively against the next good team we play.

Do you honestly think I'm going to try and convince you of ANYTHING about Zeke...........keep moving (LOL).

Why do people on here never realize that it's about Jersey sales and people in the seats more than winning. The cowboys are a brand. Zeke sells jerseys. Jerry jones does not care about winning.

Zeke isn't the least of our problems IMO. He is exactly our problem. It's not about his production, per say. It's about the financials and about how we handle our business as a team. Everybody is all in on pay the man but where are those guys when we are 8-8 or worse and struggling? Those guys duck in and give their worthless opinions and then when the whole thing goes down hill, they take advantage of it and Write stories slamming the team and the player and basically play both sides. And our fan base, they just go along with it, hook line and sinker. They supported the whole, next man up idiocy and now, when the media turns on Jerry and the team for losing, they will go right along again with the hillbilly idiots, not knowing the first thing about Football slant.

Can't have it both ways.

If the goal is to rebuild, and I mean a real rebuild, then unloading players like Zeke is certainly one way to get started. You load up on draft picks by trading players. I don;t see Zeke getting a 1st round pick though. RBs don't have that kind of value anymore.

Also something to think about, is 2021 the year to start rebuilding through the draft? With so little college football, what will scouting college players look like? Will there be a combine next year? Too many unknowns. It might be a better idea to trade away draft picks for young quality players.

If we falter and go 1 and 3 over the next 4 games and have a record of 2-6. Would you be open to trading Zeke for a couple draft picks.

I would want at least a 1st and 3rd and would be ecstatic with 2 1st.

The dream is over, the O line is shot, with Dak here Zeke will only struggle and Zeke is just a luxury for the Cowboys at this point.

The last 4 years have been wasted and its time to move on. The Cowboys could parlay those pics into a QB and draft RB in the 3rd.

That would be a Belichek power move. Then maybe we could trade Cooper for a 2nd or 3rd
Replace Zeke with Dak in the title, trade Jaylon Smith. As as predicted drafting Cee Dee was a waste in a sense that we have bigger needs. I would keep all 3 receivers, but one of them, pick any one, needs to be traded for a 1st or more or for a proven guard and pick(s).

If Dak is worth what many think he is I see no reason why we cant get two 1st round picks from a bottom feeder at the minimum.

I'd rather see this team keep most of its makeup without Dak and a receiver, but stack 3 additional early 1st round picks on top of ours that's going to be around 10-15

Lol, just pointing out the obvious. 2 fumbles on 3 carries and 3 easy dropped passes is a problem. No, I don’t think it will carry over and isn’t a huge reason for concern YET but had we lost to Atlanta he could have and should have received a large part of the blame. Just as he should receive a decent part of the blame for the Seattle loss.

No, he doesn’t get all of the blame just like he shouldn’t get all of the credit when he has a good game due to the room created by the O line but I expect more from a guy that demanded to be paid the highest at his position and refused to play with two years left on his contract until he was.

I didn’t set that standard for him, he did, and now I expect him to play like it every single game not just against scrub teams or only when he has a top 5 O line.

Jerrah got fleeced, as usual.

When I talk about future transcations its based on what is best for the team. You call drafting a QB or finsing a stop gap in free agency a fantasy.

But if it doesnt happen this team will be a dumpster fire until Dak's contract, in which you believe to be a fore gone conclusion. Is over.

We have seen the best of Dak and what he is capable of doing and its not good enough in this league. The player is an anchor holding this team down.

I realize you hate the contract but some contender may not. In a season where everyone are falling to injury Zeke is a beast any team could ride to a championship.
Dumpster fire, best equivalent in your post.
No team will ever give you any value in trade for a RB, any RB, when you can draft them all day every year.
The best equation in the NFL today is hitting the reset button if you dont already have a franchise QB.
You keep doing that until you are fortunate enough to land a Kyle Murray, Mahomes type of QB and roll with the rookie contract like we did with Dak and cross your fingers you can build the rest of the supporting cast before the rookie contract expires and you have to dedicate 40 mill plus against your cap.

You'd have to attach picks to get rid of his contract, not the other way around lmao.

This OP was so bad it hurts to read.

Also pretty funny that no RB struggles with Dak as their QB..... except for Zeke LMAOOOOOO:laugh:

Good point. If Dak is a top 5 QB....25 teams would be knocking on the door for him. 10-15 would be busting it down.

If they're going to continue this trend in passing, 59%, 60%, 73%, yep, get what they can for him because he's as useless as a thong on a warthog.

I dont think you've been paying attention to the NFL for the last decade if you think Zeke could get you anything in the neighborhood of those kind of draft picks. I'd be pleasantly surprised if they could get a single third round pick for him and even that sounds like a stretch.

I know you're kinda this out there but if you look at MM tenure with the Packers, he never featured a strong running game. In fact, if you recall, he only promised Zeke X number of TOUCHES. My point is it would not surprise me at by the end of the season this offense has devalued the RB position to point of Zeke being grossly overpaid vs his production.
