Why not Josh Rosen?

I think Rosen is most likely the cancer of all cancers. I guess you could bring him in on a minimum contract and ride the season out with him and hope some team signs him away next season in free agency. But I think that cat has serious issues from what little bit I have seen.
I agree. There were red flags about his attitude coming out of college. I think people have found those to be true. He is like a Jeff George without the production.

Has any QB from the Pac-12 worked out? Uhhh, Palmer?

It's also kind of sad how much people are clamoring for a certain QB on social media. Multiple actually. Some people want to trade like a 5th or 6th or something for Jameis, there's a very loud minority who want Kaep, some people want Driskel and are also upset that Bortles was snapped up by them. Some people are interested in taking a flyer on Rosen like OP or trading/signing for Haskins because RR gave up on them.
I don't think any are better than Dalton to hold down the fort while Dak is injured, considering that they obviously want to keep him, not much suggests his career over injury-wise either.

Herbert is too early to call on. He's a rookie I know but he still put up a pretty bad performance against the pathetic Carolina defense and threw a pick in every game aside from the saints.

He was really behind on how to read a defense.

Some thing else is up too. Pre draft he is a top half 1st round QB. Goes top 10, and has some struggles on a bad team. Arizona couldn't find a team to trade him to until the Dolphins bid against themselves.

Plays a bit for Miami. struggles but showed some upside while the team was bad all around him. Gets benched, the end. No team offers even a conditional pick for a QB who Miami just paid a 1.4mil roster bonus to. And only has 3.8 mil left in base over 2 years.
2 years after being a 10th overall pick there is no market for him. None.
And, reportedly, his performance on the field is not the only issue. It seems Arizona couldn't get rid of him soon enough.

It's like those saying Juju wasn't going to be any good because "when was the last good USC WR".... like that has any impact on the future of other prospects lmao.
The coaching of certain programs definitely has something to do with it. UCLA LBs are one recently and some schools flat out just don't produce certain positions good.

Look at this, plus Haskins just getting benched lol.

Juju also has had one good year so far, he was a huge fantasy bust last year but we will see what he can do now that pig pen is healthy and he's the #1 WR on that O now.

I meant UCLA LBs are good. Schools seem to sometimes have that position that they either are no good at producing or excellent at.

He was an amazing college player and a first round pick who has experience as a backup. Why not Josh Rosen, why would we sign that other guy who seems incapable of keeping the offense in the games. I'm very confused. Sometimes the most obvious choices are exactly what this team doesn't do.
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for that other kid, and I hope he makes it.

Josh Rosen was not an amazing college player. He was second team PAC 12 his final season, never living up to the hype of being the #2 recruit in the country. He's flopped with two teams in the NFL, so I'm not sure how you determined he's anything but "incapable" of keeping the offense in the game.

If Rosen was so "obvious" he'd already be on someone's roster. He's a recognizable name, which is why you think he's better than he has proven to be in the NFL.

there have been lots of amazing college players...he was toxic and wasn't very good as a QB in the NFL as he wasn't accurate and couldnt' read defenses. Cardinals spent a top 10 pick and the next year they moved on. Miami had him, but instead chose to go with Fitzpatrick in a rebuilding year and then drafted their QB of the future....

rosen sucks.

Rosen is not better than Andy Dalton , period . He has many weaknesses .

1000% ++++ you're getting zero leadership. Just read a tweet a couple of weeks ago that like in college, he STILL has the tendency to rub people the wrong way but the bottom line is he's not that good.

I'd only consider him as a backup. Dalton's our guy for the season. If we are mathematically eliminated from playoffs, I'd see what Rosen has. Either way, I'm fine rolling with Dalton, Gilbert & DiNucci.
