Just because you need defense doesn't mean you have to take it in round 1.

Dallas isn't a rookie defensive player away and if a franchise Left Tackle is available and there is nothing defensively that compares then you take the Left Tackle.

Besides.. Tyron is no longer dependable and Collins just had hip surgery.

You draft a franchise Tackle and forget about your QB's blindside being an issue for 10 years.

 .... are you Stephen in disguise?

Defense obviously doesnt matter anymore.

No..

This is how teams screw up drafts.

This is basic drafting 101.

You take the best players at positions of most value & need.

We need defensive players. It's our #1 priority..

But Tyron is declining and how many times did we see Dak and Dalton get strip sacked to start the season?

You're going to be throwing the ball a lot.. You don't pass on one of the most important positions on the field and take a lesser player at a need position if that's how it turns out.

Agree but we got massive problems.

WE have no cap space after Dak is signed.

The players we paid are aging and might give us 1 more good year if they can all stay healthy and play well.

Paying Dak locks this thing down into mediocrity for certain so we may not get the draft picks needed to do anything but stay mediocre.

Dallas has huge problems. It's just a reality. We need to lose and we need to cut some guys.

That's why I say the best thing that could happen is drafting Trevor Lawrence somehow.

Just the opposite actually. Once Dak is signed long term we will have more cap space. Would you like me to explain to you why that is, since once again you show a complete lack of football understanding?

If that’s true then they’re definitely planning on moving on from Dak. There’s no way a team with a 40 million dollar QB should ever have to do that.

It's bizarre they haven't signed him already and have already leaked to the media that he will be tagged next year.

Their actions and words don't match.

When do relationships like this ever end up working out? This all looks a lot like the Cousins deal.

The guys with ties to the team, say the Joneses aren’t 100% in on Dak. They would’ve signed him a long time ago if they were. broaddus keeps saying it , Gil Brandt keeps saying it on Sirius XM. But if this 4 year project is true, then that’s obviously a plan without Dak involved.

I love Jesse Holley. He played on UNC’s ‘05 National Champion basketball team, one of my favorite teams in all of sports.

I thought Nate’s take on his own passive reaction to a hit Pelleur took from Singletary (I remember this play! Jesus I’m old!) versus his reaction to if someone looked at Troy sideways was interesting. Obviously the Pelleur team was terrible and with Troy you’re playing on dynasty.

I think he hit the nail on the head - there is little to no team unity, team cohesion, or belief or trust in the man next to you and that’s the main reason why no one stepped up to defend Dalton.

UNC football is fire right now. What is your analysis of the loss to FSU?

Looks like you turn the tv off when we dont have the ball.

At least the offense can hope that the O-Line returns next year.

It’s a pipe dream , but I’m actually starting to gain some hope. Give me the cheap elite QB upgrade over any position. The consistent teams have the elite QB’s. Dak is a great guy, and good leader but he’s only solid. Not 40 million solid.

yeah but then you have to pay him. And we all know how you feel about that. In reality you shouldnt even watch football because you are so overly concerned about the cap that we shouldnt draft anyone either because we eventually have to pay them.

Looks like Bozo doesn't understand how long term contracts work. When you sign players long term you can make the cap hits mild in the first few years and prorate the signing bonus over the length of the contract. Hence the later years are higher in salary as the cap also goes up.

Signing Dak to a long term agreement will actually open up cap room. But does it really matter? Cowboys aren't going to the SB either next year. It will take two off seasons minimum to get this defense close to where we need it. After next season we can get out from under 2 or 3 of these horrible contracts with Jaylon, Lawrence, Zeke, Cooper, ect….ect….

THAT is where the cap savings come to finish off what we need on defense. What are we going to spend 35 million on FA's next year? That would be stupid.

I feel like buying things that cost a lot of money and not knowing the repercussions of buying those things is pretty stupid..

YOLO THOUGH RIGHT?! We'll file for bankruptcy.

You pay Dak, and he has to carry you. Almost by himself.

You can say goodbye to Cooper, Gallup, and any hope of building a serious defense. Name a highly paid quarterback that has a great defense. Those teams get picked apart because they can't pay their guys when they come due.

Neither team in the Super Bowl had a high-paid quarterback. And the Chiefs had better win another now because they're about to get picked apart. Can Mahomes do it without Kelce, Hill, Jones, and Matthieu? Because he'll have to soon.

Brady understands this, but he has a wife that makes more than him in a month than he does in a year.

So your telling me you can't pay a QB and retain anyone else?

Kelce just signed a 4 year deal and Reek signed a 3 year in 2019. Then they also threw money away on Watkins.

Im not a cap guru, but how do you figure Mahomes has to go at it alone soon when everyone is signed? Didn't they also over pay for Hitchens and who else? Maybe its possible to stretch the cap more than you realize.

They have already said. Repeatedly that he will be signed. They had a deal at the deadline but ran out of time. Do you actually believe Dak wont be signed or do you not want him to be? And stop saying 40 million because he never asked for 40 million.

Why draft a QB? Your just going to have to cut him in a few years when he wants to get paid right? If we follow Bozo's plan.

He claims that teams are winning SB's all over the place with QB's on rookie deals. Do the Cowboys have a ready made defense to carry this rookie while he develops? NOPE!!!

Bozo doesn't even understand what we have and what we don't have.

Hiding behind the "cap" because he dislikes the QB. Its really not hard to see.
