They really have to do a much better job in free agency and the draft. No gambles, no trade ups, injury risks, drug addicts. It's time to use some common sense. The lack of it has been a problem. On top of being terrible in the free agent market.

They are going to continue to be terrible in the FA market if they are not willing to pay the going rates. With their current strategy, they've got to find players who essentially no other team wants in order to get them to take a low-ball offer. I know the purpose of that is to not overpay for outside FAs while building the team through the draft, but it's a flawed strategy. You can never fully build a team through the draft because you generally hit on two to three players a year at most being solid starters.

I'd much rather see us pay a premium for a couple of stars then stockpile a bunch of never-weres or has-beens. Sure, you need bodies to fill out a roster, but you need players to win.

Singing Jaylon's praises again. Still sees great effort from team. Says many people before the season said they have the best talent in the league but regrets switching defenses before the season. So it sounds like he's ready to hold Nolan solely accountable for what we're seeing.

Said the Cowboys got flexed because they can get good ratings in any time slot (LOL). Telling the same old stories about Michael Irvin and Tex Schramm and how he'd write the biggest check in the world for another Super Bowl. Just utter nonsense....

Its what Jerry do....

There is no team leader. That's why we have quitters. Nfl culture doesn't allow for players to criticize others, even if they're quitters or cowards.
….then that baffles me. SLee leadership is mentioned about him, more than his play. Soon to be LB Coach.

I want MM and his staff fired as soon as the Cowboy's season is concluded. How you think that affects my sleep, I have no idea. You pointing out those other teams being bad is not in dispute... that's the strawman argument you keep making. All have better records than the Cowboys.
What's strawman about it? Are you sure you are using that correctly here?

Commanders 7th ranked D, NY 8th, Cowboys ............... 32nd. This D is historically terrible.. I don't 100% blame Nolan, I think it runs much deeper. But Cowboys, Giants and Commanders are not in the same boat at all. For one their coaching is definitely better. I was hoping for good things from McCarthy but he's not what I expected. His gambles are too much, too often and way too over the top. This is not a smart football team atm. I think Judge and Rivera have him beat in the brains department. A little common sense goes a long way. The Cowboys don't have any!

Look.....I can't debate with people who think 5-7 or 4-8 is much better than 3-8. I just can't man. I'm trying here. Yes Commanders and Giants have much better defenses than the Cowboys. That was never debated. The whole NFC East sucks.......don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

So basically Jerry said we are going to continue to lose, we are just going to do it in different ways.

But they don’t have a huge uphill battle to fix the worst D in football and probably the worst in nfl history! It’s that ugly here! And it will no doubt be a problem!

Will Mcclay and Stephen trashed him after he was cut and before he was cut jerry was on the radio saying they needed more from Dez, yet we dont need more from Jaylon. Interesting
Those comments by McClay were totally uncalled for, no management guy ever trashed a player after cutting him, ever. I lost respect for him and just figured he was doing what the Joneses wanted because Bryant was a favorite by a lot of fans.

Jerry sounds just like his pal...the other loser who keeps losing and has a brain dead following.

Well as much as I would agree that Nolan should be held responsible for this defense, it should definitely be the head coach to make that decision as to what happens to him.

It’s important to listen to Jerry to fully understand why we are who we are. And that at 78 he still wants to run football operations and be the face of the Cowboys.

It’s basically a sales pitch , promoting his product and hope. He fully supports his decisions and product until he doesn’t.

Rah rah speeches do not a leader make. I've never seen him on the sidelines exhorting players to pick it up. Didn't see him in x. Woods face after letting jackson run by him and not trying to stop him. As for a lb coach, he might be good.
