Teams are desperate for a great quarterback. Just look at Houston rumors are teams are ready to pony up 3-4 1st round picks for Deshaun Watson even with his salary.

Considering Dak was ranked by ESPN as a top 5 quarterback in the league this offseason is going to the most interesting since Bledsoe came here

Go back to the years 2000 to 2005 and you’ll see why Jerry won’t let Dak go.

Now that is some truth. I don't want to pay Dak 40M of our cap space, but I think its going to happen b/c Jerry is still traumatized by the 7 years it took him to find a replacement for Aikman. 2005 is generous. We didn't really know what we had in Romo until the end of the 2006 season.

But we got Dalton and he will finally open running lanes for Zeke and unleash Gallup’s full potential.

Is the goal to win the super bowl or make sure the offense is unleashed in its entirely? B/c if I recall, that got us to 8-8 in 2019 and a 1-3 start under Dak this past season. There is an entire other half of the team that needs to be addressed. The offense was fine under Dalton even with no off season and behind an OL missing most of its starters.

This is Cowboyszone the past year.

1. Someone Starts a thread with the word Dak in the thread.
2. Pappydog and his unhinged minions of Dak haters ravenously flock to the thread to repeat their claims that Dak is one of the worst QBs in the league.
3. Repeat
Im not sure that every thread doesnt have an argument about Dak.

Time to move on from Dak would be the smart thing. Someone will give us two first round picks.
I would rather have the asset vs Dak because I think Dak can be replaced. Dak is no Watson and I can't imagine being a Houston fan, trading Hopkins and now Watson wants out.

There are a lot of fans who just want Dak signed and dont care how much and once that is under the table then figure out how to build the defense. Those same people probably dont know the interest rate on their own credit card. LOL

Jaguars: Lawrence
Jets: Wilson or Fields
Eagles: They still have Hurtz and Hurts.
Panthers: Yea, Teddy is a JAG
Broncos: Lock reminds me of Henne. Great arm connected to a 10cent head
Patriots: Yup. Don't think anything of Stidham at this point.
Washington: Yea
Colts: Yea. Eason was drafted last year but that doesn't mean much. Maybe a location for Wentz
Steelers: Soon to be. Still got 41mil allocated to Ben
Giants? Not this year IMO
Dolphins? Not this year IMO
Falcons? Might be able to snag the 3rd wheel man between Wilson or Fields
Lions? Still have Stafford
49ers? They would like an upgrade but Jimmy G can be a good busdriver.

Prescott is the guy Booger wants to use to promote his brand and he's promoting quite a few other brands which makes him even more desirable.

In Booger's grand scheme of Cowboys media dominance, Prescott is the perfect fit. He even got a "turn your head away" injury to add to it.

And as someone already mentioned in this thread, we are not the only ones that remember that revolving QB door between Aikman and Romo and Romo was pure luck. If Payton doesn't have that connection, can you imagine how much longer that would have lasted?

For Booger, it is not about having the best QB or even a top 5 or 10. It is about having the most discussed QB and he's had that for two years now and he's not giving that up. Brees and Rivers retiring will take the front page for a few days and then it's back to Prescott.

And I am not being critical of Booger in this. Considering the lack of accomplishments and the amount of coverage, I'd say he's done himself proud. We might not care that they lead the league in attention, profit and value but that is all he cares about.

Dak’s agent has the Cowboys by the balls. He probably wants Dak to play on the tag again so Dak can be a free agent next offseason after COVID-19. Then he could ask for 50 million a season when the owners complete the television deals.

Tips for either not getting benched from this thread from this point forward or preventing it from being permanently closed:

A. Read all the site rules

B. Do not include names of historically controversial persons having zero to do with the Dallas Cowboys in your comments
