For fluck’s sake, I’m hoping for a deal too so we can quit hearing about this crap. I mean really. Of course, this thread will return to complaining about the coaching, GM, and poor play by specific players...sooooooo.....XD

Dak really holds all the cards due to Jerry and Company mismanaging this whole thing. If they really wanted Dak back then they should have got the deal done over the past two years. Now Dak can just basically demand whatever he wants and Jerry has to pay it or franchise him for 37 mil and then Dak can walk and sign wherever he wants. As far as being hopeful, that's what they've pretty much said all along

Fortunately, that ain't happening.
Well then let’s get ready for another 10 years of 7-9 to 9-7.
Rinse wash repeat of the past 26 years. Once every 5-6 years we will win 10 plus games, first round exit

Dak is “an Aikman type”

LOL

How old are you? 10?

Aikman was a MUCH MUCH better QB than Dak

:facepalm::facepalm:
I don't think so. I think a lot of QBs could have won on the stacked teams Aikman was on. He was the typical QB that was given the keys to a Ferrari and told not to crash it. Aikman on any other team would not have been a HOF caliber QB in my opinion. Dak 100% would've had the same success as Aikman. Romo also would've had the same, if not more success. We can agree to disagree.

Oh well, if re-signed Dallas will enjoy elevated personal stats yet again while the team record is barely above average.

Mahomes? A Super Bowl Champ and MVP shouldn't even be brought up when talking about Dak.

Watson just had his best season ever after trading off a top 3 receiver and having no run game. He can still play well without elite tools all around him.

Tyron will eventually miss games like always, so I wouldn't count on that one.

My point is not to say that Dak is Maholmes. Hes not, but even good players need other players to perform. We saw what Maholmes looked like when his receivers couldnt get open and his 2 linemen were out.

Watson had a great statistical season, but it only lead to 4 wins, yet "we" knock Dak for only padding stats on an 8 win season when the stats are virtually identical.

I mentioned Tyron, but I also had us drafting a OT in this draft to prepare as his replacement..

I personally feel that Mahomes, Aaron Rogers, and Russell Wilson are the only QBs you cant make a Dak argument about. He is a top 4 to 6 QB along with Allen, Watson with Herbert on their heels starting next year. I know i didnt include Brady, but Im taking just about all these guys in bad situations over Brady. Its just in an ultimate situation I will take Brady..

Todd France stands to lose alot too if this Dak deal doesn't get done. He just joined a new agency and promised this BIG signing for them in Dak. He he fails to do so, its not good. SO, all parties involved need to come together and get real.
Biiiiig point here that no one talks about. France has serious financial and career reasons to resign Dak, this is going to get done.

Go get Wilson he is available!!!
WE WOULDNT BE ANY BETTER. Do you realize the kings ransom it would take to get him? We would be void of draft picks and won't be able to build the defense and stop anyone. Why would we add to a position of strength expecting a better result? Still gotta stop people. WE CANNOT. Sign Dak, keep the picks, and draft good mudders. We need tough high FB IQ players on D.

What exactly has Dak done to warrant being a top 4 tp 6 QB?

You're right. Mahomes, Rodgers, and Wilson are no comparison.

Dak IMO is also clearly behind Brady(GOAT), Allen (MVP if not for Rodgers), Watson (I just think he's better and I believe any GM would take him over Dak, including Jerry), and Jackson (former MVP and lead the league in TDs with Hollywood Brown as a #1 reciever). You're right about Herbert also. If he can improve on last year he will be up there too.

I think that out of all those QBs only Mahomes and Brady have as many, if not more, weapons at their disposal than Dak. I also think that Dak clearly needs much more help then a lot of the other top QBs to succeed. That's why a massive contracts scares me.

I've seen it all now. This place is so entertaining. Aikman wasn't a HOF caliber QB? I swear this place is amazing.
