i still maintain that if no long term deal is done and they franchise dak its over he will be here one more year then he will walk after 2021 but it really dont matter because as long as dumb and dumber are running the team they will never be in championship contention

Give Dak your offer and tell his agent to shop for a sign and trade if it doesn't work for Dak.

Dak's camp is harming his marketability at this point. Some will blame the Cowboys, but a huge number of fans will not understand a player turning down 100+million of guaranteed money to play football. He will look greedy.

Curious to see if this actually gets done. Period. We’ve been saying for years it will but at this point it’s a crap shoot.

until glazer or schefter reports anything we won’t know any truth.

No team is trading anything for Dak.
No team is signing Dak to jack squat. Other than Jerry maybe tagging Dak out of loyalty.

Dak can’t pass a physical. Show me one GM who will sign a QB of maybe above average talent and one playoff win in 5 years to a $200M contract with no guarantee the QB can even be ready for the opener.

...says the member with a photo of Dak in a Cowboy hat and an open shirt as his main photo....talk about being a creepy obsessionist.
...says the member who is an ex-fellow veteran, yet talks so ugly/divisive and is so disrespectful...talk about not learning from your previous profession.

Interesting that someone who insults those that disagree with him attempts to call anyone else out for their posts.

Oh, and one is not an ex-veteran but rather a veteran.

Then good! We get draft picks and avoid the deal! I love it!

That would be great. If Dallas can get two firsts before the draft? Fantastic. I just don't think anyone would give us that.

I think Dak will fully recover from his injury. I'm just not sure a team will give up a lot until they actually see him play post injury.

Leverage? They were simply stubborn A-holes.
3 years ago, he would have signed any fair extension with lots of zeroes.
2 years ago he would have signed a fair market contract like others were signing rather than continue on his rookie contract.
Last year, he would have signed for 4 years, like most second contracts, but Jerry and Stephen held out for the 5th year of control.

They could've used other QB's as leverage.. They could've had serious negotiations with Brady.

They also could've used the tag that allowed other teams to negotiate with him.

Instead they just franchised him.
My God, you know Brady was not coming here for nothing.
Stop it.
Just stop it.
Stop using your Brady fantasy like it's a thing.
It's not. My goodness.

I retract my endorsement for you as GM.
You live in Fantasyland too much.

'Dak Doomsday Deal': Cowboys 'Hopeful,' But Need Trade Alternative
The Cowboys need to know. So it's no insult to Prescott, and it's no sign of a lack of commitment, that they prepare - just in case - for a "Dak Doomsday Deal.''
MIKE FISHER

Former NFL team executive Bryan Broaddus of 105.3 The Fan reports that his survey of league officials suggests that Dallas could get "two first-round picks'' in a Prescott trade.

National reporter Peter King, writing about a Dak peer in Houston QB Deshaun Watson, has guessed that it would take six premium pieces - Chase Young, another starter and three or four high picks - for, say, Washington to win the bidding on Watson.

And ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum, a former NFL GM, suggest a Texas quarterback swap with the Cowboys pulling off a sign-and-trade with Prescott for Watson.

Pitting players against each other is very poor business. Have serious negotiations with others with what intent?
No agent will want to deal will a team that does that. as then how serious will one take a team that does that.

so Brady is almost signed, then they say hey, just kidding Dak is ready to sign. Bye.

Now the tag for other teams to make offers, that should have been done, and I think should be done this year as well, come the 9th.

LOL. I love when fans pretend their fan boy players have all the leverage.

No other team can offer Prescott what he has here. The biggest stage in the NFL with a fake front office delusionally devoted to him.

can offer him more money than they have, a chance to win, and fans that don't hate him lol.
