Good Lord, who panics in March
We need to see what takes place before we rush to judgement.Actually they kind of were when you look at timing. Free agency officially started on March 18th last year. Poe was signed on the 9th of April. McCoy was signed on the 31st of March. Griffen was signed on Aug 6th.
None of those three were considered big time signings. They were typical Cowboys signings........... wait a week or two in FA, sign whatever is left over and hope it works out. It did not, again, for a variety of reasons (FWIW, I think Griffen's issue was more related to Nolan's usage than him being just a bad signing).
Did anyone here expect the Cowboys to go hog wild with FAs? If you did you have not paid attention for the last few years. They just don’t do it.
LOLI usually wait 30 years before I panic.

It's getting closeI usually wait 30 years before I panic.
True, but is it THAT much to ask for ONE premium free agent per decade??Did anyone here expect the Cowboys to go hog wild with FAs? If you did you have not paid attention for the last few years. They just don’t do it.
Very true. They did give a little hope by clearing out some cap space with restructuring the entire OL. But my point is we have people screaming that we have missed out on free agency. There are lots of players that can still help this team.
This team is not capable of putting me into panic mode. I really don’t have any emotional feelings about them one way or another.I usually wait 30 years before I panic.
I don't care for the strategy either, but they are going to plug a few holes. They have a boatload of draft picks this year and should be able to address several needs.I mean if you want to, that's fine.
But history is a pretty strong indicator here and Stephen has basically come out and already defended what they were going to do - the same stuff. The strategy has not worked once. Not sure why we should be hopeful it will work this time.

We are picking in the top 10 in every rd. We currently have 4 picks within the top 100. I am expecting 3 impact starters and a few quality veterans added via fa."boatload" of picks. The majority of those picks are in the 4th round and later. Those aren't the rounds you typically find players that can start or make an impact immediately. Those are guys that you look for to fill out depth, etc.
If the logic is they can fix their DT, S, CB and other problems through slop bin signings and the draft, they likely will find themselves with some of the same holes as the season progresses. History has shown us this is how it almost always goes.
