The laundry list of players who missed significant time:

Dak, Jarwin, Tyron, Collins, Martin.

Believe Connor McGovern will get a legitimate shot to unseat Connor Williams.

CeeDee in yr 2, should even get better. Gallup/Schultz are playing for a contract.

Zeke will be highly motivated to have a bounce back season or risk playing elsewhere in 2022.

If they can figure out how to start faster, improve in the red zone and have a defense that builds on getting more takeaways, this offense can potentially be the best in the entire league.

- Tyron is gonna miss his usual amount of time -including games.
Cowboys tend to think they will still be ok, without and not miss a beat.
Whose gonna be his immediate replacement ? Brandon Knight again ?..... 35 yr old Ty Nsekhe. ? .... and who knows how Josh Ball is gonna fair in camp or practice squad ?

- What i do not want to see is Kellen moore designing RPO runs for Dak anymore, ..(and neither does Jerry imagine) ..and i would think that includes design goal line runs too.
if Dak is using his run skills albeit it's scrambling away from rushers and towards either sideline or to a slide before incoming tacklers. Drift him away from that habit of taking on
tacklers and trying to stiff arm them like he's a RB. Try it the Russell Wilson way of scrambling - sideline or to the slide !

- Addressing the Notorious Slow starts and scheme-designing the RBs better into the game. That means not be content just running zeke " up the Gut" per ex-RB Gary Brown preference.
or just the backs catching ball in the flats or blitz blocking.

-Although 35 years old, Nsekhe is a very serviceable backup tackle. Far better then anyone we had last season. I am expecting Tyron to miss 3-4 games, not the majority of the season like last yr.

-They have to figure out how to start faster, it has been a problem since Moore became the OC. They also need to have a better plan running the football.

Starting faster is an easy one. Stop trying so desperately and predictably to establish Zeke running right up the middle. Either mix it up or be more aggressive in the passing game.

And Zeke could stop fumbling. That would help also. As far as the redzone it will be better with a better Oline. And then the same thing. Stop running Zeke predictably up the middle in the redzone.
Play design falls on Moore/Brown's shoulders, they need to devise better, less predictable ways to run the football.

They need to figure out that we need less Zeke and more Dak and the passing game early. More Pollard. They need to tell Jerry to stay out of the game plans.

This year and the last 25 years.

Injuries are going to happen (OL is primed for multiple) and we'll rinse and repeat next year. Not saying I am upset that the team didn't address this risk, but the risk is there. On the off-chance that both remain healthy, this offseason is pretty much textbook. If any OL misses time, we're gonna see a lot of second-guessing.

The offense should look a lot like the offense that played the first 4 games last season. I don't know where all this optimism about Jarwin comes from. He hasn't really done that much, although there are high expectations for him. I do not think he will do much more than what we got from the TEs last season. They are basically the same offense that went 1-3 to start last season. I also share some concern about Dak. I just hope he is not afraid, or unwilling to run for a first down because of the injury from last season.

And just a reminder, while the Cowboys put up a lot of points and yards in 2020 when Dak played, they also got off to some dreadful starts and played catch-up. They need to stop the bad mistakes in the first quarters of games.
They seriously went after fixing some redzone issues with height in this draft, I do know that much.

Agree on both takes, Nsekhe is a nice insurance policy until LT is really addressed.

If they win and be only has 900 yards you would be upset?

Two completely different things. Weird how some of you fans have trouble distinguishing the two.

Winning is separate from Zeke doing HIS job that he is paid for.

If we win and Zeke sucks then he still sucks so yah, I would be upset at the fact that we have wasted money. If we lost and he sucks, then it sucks both ways.

I don’t remember many games of trying to establish the run. Zeke and Dak turned the ball over too much last year, that needs to stop. OC needs to get better in the run scheme no matter who is in at RB.

Just getting our starters back on the O-line instantly makes our offense better. Add Dak, Jarwin, and a motivated Zeke and we have an offense to contend with.

I simply asked you a question there's nothing weird about it. Its weird how you can't simply answer a question without getting offended.

It makes no sense to me but it doesn't have to. We could be 16-0 and Zeke have 900 yards but you'd have a issue with it because....well for no reason...just because lol.

I hope Dak plays in the preseason.

I really don't like the idea of him working out the kinks when the real games start. Because who knows how he is be mentally, let alone physically after such a horrific injury.

You asked a really dumb question about being upset if we win. LOL

Why would anyone be upset with winning? Dumb question.

What I wouldnt like is some 15 million dollar per year chump not producing. Although it might be better for the team as Zeke would soon be outta here.

I this is too complicated for you to understand then lets just move on.

You have to explain yourself because you go on these childish like rants. Even now...you keep answering my questions and don't even realize how stupid the answers sound but you just keep spewing away....I can't lol....

Lots of recent info out there on how great Dak is doing both mentally and physically. You must have missed it all.

You ask a dumb question, you get treated like a fool. Get used to it you do it a lot.

Maybe you should go ask someone else your dumb questions. Maybe you can find a poster that would love Zeke rushing for 900 yards at 15 million per year.

I agree.
So many reasons to be optimistic about the offense.
:flagwave:

However.....
By FAR the main thing that I want to see them finally start doing is to score on defenses in the top 25-35% in the league....so the decent to very good defenses.

It's been 5 years since this offense has been able to do that, and THAT is what defines a really good offense.
Every year, we score below the league average against decent to good defenses. Piling up huge stats on the other teams is fine, but it only gets us so far.

Looking to turn that corner, and I think they can!:yourock:
