First off, I don’t spend anywhere NEAR as much time watching these clowns as I used to do, and their opinions mean less than nothing, because the vast majority are only interested in manufacturing drama for click$. That said, I find the flip flop nature of their “enlightened” views as hilarious. Take our schedule, which they like to call easy. It almost seems like they see success coming and want to downplay it. Others are pointing out our last six games—cold weather, full of intense divisional matchups, and our old OL showing late season wear and tear—a daunting vision. Then there’s guys like Cowherd. One day, Dallas stinks, the next day, a turnaround is imminent. Dallas as a dumpster fire is a bestseller.

Just thought it amusing.

Dallas does have to prove themselves. Several coaches and players have to have solid seasons next year. It should make for an entertaining year, especially if we are healthy because the injury excuses will not be a scapegoat.

Yeah I don't watch any of those talking heads because it's a total waste of time. As you said, they're just after ratings so will say whatever they think will rile people up.

Never figured out exactly what qualifies one as an expert. With some here, that responds to how much they agree with their assessment.

Even ex coaches and players do not qualify to me and I don't think people not familiar with the machinations of cable sports talk realize those are just roles and scripted as well.

When I was a kid, my parents never missed the Joe Pine Show, even though he infuriated them and most of his audience. He is the template for ratings because his show was a success. The man people loved to hate did very well.

It's amazing to me how many people still don't understand this, or they do and ignore it because they like the drama and don't care if it isn't real.

Who said we have an old OL? Outside of Smith, who isn't even old OLineman age, our line is decently young.

its their jobs to create drama and interest,.rolls off my back..all that matter is how they play..most of the time they are far to rewarding and call Dallas SB contenders yearly , i prefer some negativity that gets back to the ranch and irritates and motivates players..

too much Kool-Aid will stain your teeth homie.. :)

Time to stop watching Cowturd , especially when it comes to the Cowboys. He really went off on the deep end when he bolted to Fox. Just awful!

Yea, he’s awful. Like many of the national pundits on the Cowboys.

it is also true that if they didn't talk about the dallas cowboys a majority of cowboys fans would flip out and cry because they are being ignored.

Also always remember the reason what you posted is true is because of who owns this team and how it is run.
Would they? Seems pretty hypothetical

Except the folks on this forum aren’t watched daily on TV and hailed as experts! Plus, Shannon “Horseface” Sharpe makes a much larger salary than most ‘common folk’ here...
Golly gee, you watch him too . No wonder you come up with some of your theories . Just awful slighted analysis on the Cowboys.

Get online and dial in to some of the local guys.

He's absolutely right. People like the OP will warn you up and down of the wiles of the media, how you shouldn't trust them, and that they don't watch them/aren't affected by them. But the moment someone in the media posts a power ranking with the Cowboys lower than they want, oh how they howl and call the media "haters," "don't give us respect," etc. If you just told us the media doesn't print reality and just does things for clicks and ratings, then why are you upset? When people go out of their way to tell you they're not bothered/affected by something, most times it's themselves they're trying to convince, trust me.

The media always wins just like the house. They get people to watch even when they're on to their tricks because people like watching things that upset them (hello, Faux News) so they can co-whine with others and people like proving themselves right ("See? This just proves my theory."). So the media gives people both. It's all about the emotion they can stir inside you, and emotion shuts down rational thinking. This is why people who pledge allegiance against the media watch media to get pissed and also prove themselves right. The media doesn't care why you watch, only that you watch. They win. Always.

For the record, he's been attempting to bend reality with "theories" long before Skip and Shannon's show came along. Lol.

We really will not finish well unless we are very healthy in December.

i love how they now pretend micah parsons was not rated in the top 10-12 as a player...or as the #1 def player in the build up to the draft.
and i love how they pretend they never said Dallas should show discipline and focus on defense with their picks.
