Yes. Pretty busy this morning so just sat at the bar to avoid the wait.
That is really cool man, I grew up in Helotes, if heading north just down that road where there used to be a churches fried chickn, about 2 miles back... good times.
Me and my pops used to eat at El Chapparrel back in the day, the best mexican food then and probably still is...

We spend a lot of time in Helotes now since we are just down the road. Kids went to O”Connor so we go to the HS football games. Go to the concerts at Floore’s Country store. Bobby J’s burgers are great. They have the market every first Saturday. Pretty cool little town and keeps us from going into San Antonio.

We're starting with brisket, a number of salads, more brisket, roasted corn, beans and, yes, more brisket.

Earlier, I was wondering what to pair with brisket, then it came to me: anything!

The weather flipped from cloudy to sunny so I just revised my menu. I'll be grilling boneless chicken breasts and a porterhouse, with mashed potatoes and some kind of rabbit food to round out the meal. No pizza tonight. Maybe tomorrow.
