Is there a movie you'd like to see remade?

As it's already been mentioned, but would like to see Conan remade. I liked the original, but want to see to see something closer to the original vision of Conan that Robert E Howard created. Something a little darker, grittier, style-wise something closer to "300" and the TV show "Spartacus"

I was also going to say "Red Sonja", but it looks like there's a remake in the works

Far from John Carpenter's best work but had tons of potential.

Green Lantern

The original is almost criminally wrong. Like Fantastic Four wrong.

Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins

The story has Hollywood remake written all over it. Not worried about who might play Fred Ward's title character but someone special should be cast for Joel Grey's role.

Battle for Terra

Solid, well-written, very underrated animated movie that I think would be much better with better animation.

The Last Starfighter

The original was way too campy. A more serious take would do wonders for the story in my opinion.
Wow, Remo Williams, The Last Starfighter, and Green Lantern! All excellent choices. I see this isn't your first time thinking about this!

Probably the Village (2004) .
I would like to see it remade as a straight horror film . M night Shyamalan told a terrible job with the original
Wouldn't that be like remaking The Sixth Sense, since we all know the surprise ending, or is there another factor to it that would make it worth remaking?

I remember seeing Prince of Darkness when it came out at the Theater just on the basis that Alice Cooper was in it. Not a very good movie.

Agreed. It was low budget and went south from there. Even so, I could "see" what Carpenter was trying to present to the audience, although badly. The movie was an apocalyptic story of the WORST kind imaginable but was poorly constructed, presented and told.

A mildly darker version of the Wizard of Oz would be pretty cool.

As an aside, I don’t usually mind remakes but I despise them when they have previous cast members make cameos in them.

Honestly, I would like to see a remake based on the original plot synopsis that said the movie
would be about inhabitants of a village having a truce with the creatures / monsters living in the surrounding forest. Basically , a totally different movie that is slightly tied to the original. I thought the original plot synopsis would have made a better story than the actual plot to the movie

That does sound interesting. Though I have to say, the ending of the movie did come as a surprise to me. That's not to say I thought it was a great flick, just that at least it wasn't predictable.

That's true. One good thing about m. Night Shyamalan is that he isn't afraid to take risks or think outside the box. It's just he did a good job at making horror / supernatural thrillers that I felt he should have stuck to his niche
