Is there a movie you'd like to see remade?

Nope. I'm partial to comedy and any comedy movie made now can only be terrible because the wok has sucked the life out of anything funny.

Sucks, to be honest.

My favorite superhero movie. I never understood why they only made 1. It sucks that the cast would not be the same, and it would most likely not be as good, but they could make another story line. Zoro type hero movie, instead of superpower

Never, and I answer you by asking this:

Is there a movie that was remade that is worth watching? There are probably a couple, but let's be honest...most remakes are piggybacking on the original and would likely be half as successful without being a remake.

There's actually quite a few that I can think of, "The Thing", "Scarface", "Bram Stokers Dracula", "True Grit", "Little Shop of Horrors", "Cape Fear", "The Fly", "Casino Royale", "Oceans 11", "The Italian Job", "3:10 to Yuma". Does "Young Frankenstein" count as a remake? There's several foreign horror remakes that were pretty good too like 'The Ring", "The Grudge", "Let Me In"

I'm sure there's a bunch I'm not thinking of right now and a bunch I probably didn't realize were remakes.

So out of the last 40 years, there's a handful that did better than the original? Yep, that's just about what I thought.

My question is directed toward those movies that were pretty good, but would have been great with the proper casting, director, special effects, etc. Haven't you ever watched a movie and thought, "This would've been so much better with _______ playing the villain."?

You take True Grit off that list!!! The remake was okay, but the original was one of the best westerns ever made. Okay, they could've had someone better than Kim Darby in the original, but other than that it was fantastic........and what's with the lack of contractions in the remake? Even if they didn't use them back then (which I doubt is the case) it was very distracting to hear the dialogue without them. It made the performances seem somewhat robotic.
