Quinn is overrated. Our D, except for Parsons, will totally get scorched by Brady. I see a blowout win for TB and knashing of teeth in Dallas for the same problem we've had for 25 years never being fixed by the FO. Our secondary has been historically crap. Dak may even have problems getting the ball to our WRs because TB knows his weakness - blitz him and get in his face and it's all over. Kellen will have no answer for the blitz.

Their pass defense was historically bad last season, and they will have a ton of rookies and new players starting week one, plus a new defensive scheme. PFF has both their secondary and their D-Line ranked bottom-five (#31 and #28)
We should beat the brakes of them.
This on was funny to me...their a confident bunch.

Like most teams that have been successful, they're basking in the glow of success. As much as I'd love to shock them and their pride, I expect to give them a tussle, although, our transplanted players on defense will have tough work awaiting them. I felt the Bucs would win as soon as the schedule was published -- possibly by as much as 10 points or so.

Our defense should improve but insufficient to contain them enough to win. Dak might easily be a little rusty from the rehab and subsequent layoff. As with any game, however, anything's possible, especially if they're unprepared for an all-out fight. Hopefully, we'll be intent upon delivering one.

The Bucs fans should be confident. I would be too if I was a Bucs fan. They won the SB. But I have a feeling this is the year Brady starts to look like a 44 year old QB. Nobody beats father time. The Cowboys need to get after Brady. Don't be afraid to rush 5 or even 6. Make him get off his spot.

Blitz 5 or 6 and the game will be out of reach by halftime. He may be what 44, but he knows where every defender will be by their pre snap position. The key is to disguise your defense and that is on the coach.

The last three times we played Brady it was close. Not too worried about the BUCS. It you want to be the champ, you have to beat the Champs. I would not have it any other way.

I remember the saints were supposed to blow us out in New Orleans 3 years ago. Don't think for a second Brady is not looking past us.

The Dak hating comment lost any and all credibility with the Joe Judge division lockdown quote. This guy can't even keep his own roster under control without making them do junior high school sprints as punishment.
yeah I dont know if it was same guy, but I saw 2 comments on joe judge going to take over the east lol.
I dont know how anyone could think that based on what we have seen up to now.

At first glance, 'Pewter Report' appears to be the equivalent of 'Cowboys Zone' - fan-created and fan-monitored (correct me if I'm wrong).
No articles at 'Bucs Nation' (Sb Nation fansite equivalent to 'Blogging The Boys'). Did not expect anything pertaining to the seasoner opener since they've yet to play their first preseason game (like 29 other teams).
Same thing at the official franchise site - 'Buccaneers.com'. Articles are about TC, depth charts, rookie analyses, pressers & interviews with HC, veteran players.
yeah I looked at the bucs nation too, I might join one or both, as I am a brady fan.
I was just curious what they were saying, and I saw the thread on game 1 with cowboys.

I want to see how they react to losses etc, see if it is different from here.
I did read they locked up todd bowles for another 3 years, that was smart.

as far as week one i see Dallas losing 27-13 but im not worried i think we'll look much sharper and start out 4-2

what is with all the Praise analyst and ect give for the Washington Football Team? Theyre just like the other teams in the division, win it one year and dont live up to expectations the next

the only games they looked great on offense came againt Dallas and a playoff game against tampa who had no film on Taylor and their Defense although having what i consider the best dline in football couldnt stop great offenses last year and not only that 7-9 isnt anything to write home about

not saying they wont win the division (anybody can there is no lock) but wow
yeah they need to win every game after the TB game, they are all winnable, except maybe the NE game.
After that it gets tougher, so starting 5-1 or 4-2 is what they really need to do.

Here is how it works for our Boys... When a fanbase is laughing at us, this gets back to the team one way or the other. When the media is saying our defense is terrible, this also gets back to the team. The cowboys are historically pretty good when they're doubted and dismissed. When I see a fan base that is looking for the negatives and speaking about stuff they don't understand to bolster their morale, and they display over confidence, this is the type of game the cows typically kick butt in...

I do agree that the Buc's should win, but I know the history of my team, and it's going to be hard for Goliath to deal with David in this situation. These are the types of games I love winning the most, the ones where the fans of the opposing team are stunned and feel stupid ..
Well I just dont see how dak can not be rusty, and not in a groove , in game 1.
Also our defense will take time to get good, so again game 1 I dont expect them to look great.
Anything can happen, but the odds favor TB playing this early and in their stadium.

Add to that mike may decide to go for a 4th and 9 on his own 30 lol.

yeah the bad thing is if guys can come free because some guy is going downfield to block instead of blocking the guy who
comes in free.

here are most of the posts.
even though I dislike the Cowboys and there fan base. I really think it will be a tough battle. There receivers are really good and a fresh Zek is always a problem. We will find out early if we will have a super bowl hangover. I hope we can make a statement and win by putting up 30 ppg on these clowns.

Tough game 1. But their defense is ****. Bucs need this game to kick things off. This ain’t the Saints.

ut feeling is that the offense is overrated. Elliot isn’t going to be as good as he has been in the past. Good WRs, but lets not get too overexcited about Dak Prescott. He’s good, but not great. The Bucs defense can handle this bunch.

Dan Quinn took over the defense, which I expect to be much better next season. Not sure how much improvement we’ll see from them week one, though.
You have to assume Dak is going to be a bit rusty with live bullets flying, but the defense will hopefully be up it. Their offense was fantastic last year before Dak’s injury.

You always worry against a potential powerhouse offense. Dak can throw the ball around. I doubt Elliot will do much but he has looked very fit so far. Dak is a passing machine. And he has a good deal of very good weapons. The secondary is going to have to be ready for week 1. Pass rushers have to get to their landmark quickly. Big game and a tough test. I really want to see them win against Phallus. I hate them cowboys man. Hate them!

We might drop 40 on them.. Their offense might be good, but I’m not sure they’ll be able to compete with OUR offense scoring wise.

It’s Cowboys under Jerry Jones. It’s always the same thing. Good on one side of the ball and lousy on the other. I love what they did in drafting Micah Parsons and that CB from Kentucky. I think they also just signed Hooker from Indy so they may indeed improve on D but, we are two TDs better than them week one. Also, Dak just isn’t the guy, they crippled their team for a long time by overpaying for him.
------
Not only will dak be rusty, he won’t be 100%.

Not too worried about Dallas. Would be shocked if it wasn’t a comfortable double digit win.

WFT is the team to worry about in that division.

Fitznagic has a lot of talent & competent coaching around him. Good situation to be in.
-------
Dak is reason #s 1,2,3,4 and 5 why the Cowboys aren’t going to compete anytime soon. Also, Joe Judge is about to put that division on lockdown.

There are plenty of guys that don’t work as a HC, but are excellent coordinators. Todd Bowles is one of many examples.

Quinn may not work out in Dallas, but I’ll be very surprised if their defense isn’t better than they were in 2020.

ow healthy and mentally ready we are is really the key to the game. If we come out sloppy and sluggish, da cowboys could beat us. We should womp them real good if we’re on our game..

on paper, Dallas is talented and playoff team. On the field, they haven’t been able to put it together.

Dallas sucks and I can’t wait to see us embarrass “America’s Team” on National TV to start the season.

i'm not worried about what they say. I think our offense can match them. Only question is our defence.
