you actually are

you started the post believing tomlin droolling over the little fantasy of being MT girlfriend.. fact is you dont know what goes on at the ranch behind closed doors..now go give Mike T what you are day dreaming about, bring cloth to whipe your mouth steeler fan!

25 years old ineptitude. Tomlins teams are usually always in the mix. No kissing up. Just the facts. Facts you are clearly dismissing! I've always been Dallas or bust. But I always been honest about my team also.

Great point. But did you have any doubt who made the Dallas Cowboys go? Jimmy! They knew to play well or else. Do you think Mike has the same motivation for the team? For me that's what the head coach should be. The enforcer.
So your really talking about whether McCarthy has the kind of personality needed for the job, not whether he is involved in the offensive and defensive game plans.

I said the game wasn’t as close as it appeared. And it wasn’t. Keep celebrating losses.
I'm not celebrating a loss at all. But, the game was exactly what the game was. You can't cherry pick a play or two and pretend it didn't count. We lost by two points which absolutely sucks. And if they don't improve this season will be a tough one. But the game wasn't any more lopsided one way or the other than what it was. It was 2 points. That's exactly how close it was. It wasn't 1 point and it wasn't 3. By the same logic you're using to say we weren't as close as it appeared, I could suggest that Dallas was better than it appeared. If Diggs hangs onto that last potential interception, the game was over and Dallas wins. But he didn't hang on to it. And the fumble on the 5 did happen.

The game was exactly as close as it appeared. Cause for celebration? Nope. Not with the W. We need to clean up ST in a hurry. We need to figure out the corner opposite Diggs. We need to get our OL settled. Saying all of that doesn't discount the good things I did see. Dak looked good. McGovern looked good. Diggs looked good. I thought Parsons showed some real upside. I thought our OC actually adjusted to what was available, which was nice to see. There were a lot of positives...just not enough to win.

"Can somebody tell me exactly what is Mike's job. What does he do to help the team out? He's not a defensive coordinator for sure. We have Moore running the offense. So what does Mike do?? Serious Question. I mean put Moore at head coach what do we miss????
This is what more people should wonder lol.
To me he is a figure head to make it look like we have a real HC with credentials .
Like you say there isnt much for him to do aside from game mgmt and PC's.
the way jones boys set this up, Quinn, Kellen, and now apparently bones all are autonomous, and mike has no say in what they do.
I am starting to think mike has no say in game plans either.
And dont forget yards are yards lol.

Ah the Mike Tomlin fallacy. He Won exactly one Super Bowl with Coach Cowhers team.

Has just one more Super Bowl wins than Marvin Lewis has in their similar tenures

Coaches aren't judged by stats and words of "Windom". They are judged by Lombardis trophys

What’s your prediction for this week?

I expect Cowboys to win, I see it as a tough game but I think the difference will be Cowboys will be able to use the run vs Chargers. Personally I don't view any game as a given, teams have to go out and execute if they expect to win. Last game Dallas did do a lot of good things in that game but did not do enough to win and when you play a SB champ you can't afford to have many mistakes.

Nobody is"celebrating" a loss, but the game was every bit as close as it appeared. It didn't at all come across as a fluke that the Cowboys were in it at the end and it took a questionable no-call and a last second FG to beat them. So while nobody is happy about losing, it is very different to lose in that manner to an outstanding team than to lose in a game that isn't even competitive to an average or poor team. This game at least shows the potential is there.

Tomlin was 10-0 to start the season last year. Then everything fizzled out.

Not saying yeah or neah but you won't know what works until the end of the season.

Then the next season something else works. It's all circumstantial and this is what keeps us on our seats wtching.

Some highly successful head coaches weren't coordinators on their teams, and not being a coordinator doesn't mean they are not involved in the planning.

Mike Tomlin won his first game yet he was telling his team they have to get better. In all phases of the game. Learning to get better is going to be a must, he said. Dallas coaches. We looked good. I see good things out there??? WHAT???? That's why we need a hardnosed no non sense head coach like Tomlin. I for one don't think Big Mac Mike was a good coach pickup for our team. And speaking of Mike just as I asked about Garrett when he was here. "Can somebody tell me exactly what is Mike's job. What does he do to help the team out? He's not a defensive coordinator for sure. We have Moore running the offense. So what does Mike do?? Serious Question. I mean put Moore at head coach what do we miss????

To the GM:facepalm: Why does he keep taking chances on questionable type character players? Boss man IMO is one of them. The guy seems to want to be a rapper more then a corner. Reminds me of the Lakers former player Kyle Kuzma. Has talent but the head is more focused on being a trend setter rapper type more then basketball. I'll give Boss man another season to prove he's not like this but the rope will be short if I were the GM.

Still wish we would of gotten one of those pot bellied defensive linemen. I'm talking 340 plus. I was watching different games Sunday and when teams did try to run. Those big suckers shut the run down. We saw what Veda did for the Bucks. He basically threw Conner around in those key situation like a bag of stale chips. And I was watching Quinn yesterday and he said it wasn't Browns fault on the one long TD pass. He said a guy fell down and the safety went to check his man when he should of been helping deep. Quinn laughed and said the lesson learned here is I shouldn't had called the play there. I said to myself. These coaches are killing us more then the opponents. It's just the first game but i think Mike needs to get tougher with this team. No more smashing watermelons . How about heads and arses. At least Quinn said " there were no moral victories Thursday". But all things being equal I like Quinn. Seems like a great guy. Hope he turns us into a great defense.
if coaches say we did some good things, then they are telling the team its ok to lose.....and they are just defending themselves and not owning up to what they are supposed to do....

not even a close to the truth...
he was being honest, these aren't toddlers

they will review the videos and be assured will be called out in private meetings and see where they went wrong..saying things lie that in the media is simply being truthful we did many things well but other things poorly and need to be addressed ..no reason to be tyrant on the podium. Get over it already..bunch of whining little fans sound pretty hypocritical

i mean the tenor of those posts whining and crying isnt a tough look..its the opposite..

This team is a Jimmy Johnson, Bill Parcells, Sean McVay, Andy Reid ... away from a Super Bowl.

Dallas was out played in every statistical category imaginable outside of turnovers. Godwin doesn’t fumble inside the 5 and Dallas never sniffs a chance at winning. They were thoroughly outplayed in the red zone as well. It wasn’t as close as it looked. Even when tb gave them the game on a silver platter, Dallas managed to screw it up.

I disagree respectfully JBS.

Both teams made mistakes.

you can’t take away Tampa’s mistakes but count the cowboys.

Also the cowboys won a bunch of statistical categories.

they won T.O.P.
They won total yards
They had more first downs and higher 3rd down conversion rate.

cowboys absolutely hung with Tampa Bay.

they lost. But they absolutely hung with them.
